This is not exactly appointment viewing but everyone gets up to play the Spurs as they are one of the model franchises in the league.
Charlotte
After dropping their first three games of the season the Hornets are now on a two game winning streak.
They thumped the Bulls in impressive fashion and beat Dallas to start their current road trip.
The wins are nice but I find there is not a lot to like with this group and I am not sure what kind of team they want to be Al Jefferson is a nice post threat and Kemba Walker can his thing but there is not a great identity with the group. Both are too often ball stoppers as well.

In looking at their stats they are in the middle of the pack offensively and defensively. On the defense side it hurts that they don’t have MKG right now.
They are getting good production from Marvin Williams but too many teams have been burnt thinking he was going to be reliable.
They are getting nothing from top pick Frank Kaminsky. He seemed pretty NBA ready but is scoring less than Pshyco T. Who knows whats going on with this group?
San Antonio
It hasn’t been the best of starts but I am pretty sure there is not much to worry about with the Spurs. It is a big time transition working in a player of the calibre of LaMarcus Aldridge – who is averaging a double-double.
Speaking of big time, Kawhi Leonard continues to improve. Through the first five games he is averaging 21 and 9.
The Spurs are still waiting for sharpshooter Danny Green to find the range.
He is making just 20% of his three and that makes it tough for this offense to find the rhythm they want. Its a small sample size though so don’t get too worked up.

The same goes for a lot of Spurs whose numbers might look a little down. Also check the minutes, nobody is playing a ton this year as they look to stay fresh.
