These teams just played yesterday. Charlotte used a dominant 4th quarter to get the close win.
Orlando continues to be in a major funk. I am not sure playing the same team again helps them get out of it.
Charlotte continues to be a high variance team. They lost the first three quarters before making the comeback.
Charlotte Hornets
In the win Gordan Hayward had another great game, he led all scorers with an efficient 39 points.
That efficiency comment was true but also a dig at Terry Rozier and Devonte Graham. They keep shooting no matter how they are falling.
Those two were a combined 7 for 24. They do need offense from that duo but they also need them to mix up their games enough to get some easy shots when the jumpers are looking rough.
Charlotte got a great game off the bench from Miles Bridges with 18 points. A few years in and I am still not sure what he really is. Or can be. I am not sure they are either.
In the win, the Hornets got next to nothing from their bigs. Bismack Biyombo and Cody Zeller combined for 6 points. They could use a little more from that combo.
Lamelo Ball was solid with 11 points and a team-leading 8 assists. It is odd that his offense off the bench comes more in the form of getting shots for others.
Charlotte has to like their chances for getting another win in this spot.
Orlando Magic
Orlando really needed to finish that win yesterday. Nothing is coming easy for this club right now.
Having Evan Fournier back helps with getting more scoring in the lineup but too often this team looks pretty lost on possessions that do not include Nikola Vucevic.
Shooter Terrence Ross has really cooled after a hot start to the season. I am not sure where the Magic can reasonably turn for more offense.
It probably doesn’t hurt them much against Charlotte but the Magic are not playing with much size these days. Aaron Gordon, who I never really like, missed the last one.
