On Wednesday, April 21st, the Brooklyn Nets meets the Toronto Raptors for the second time this season. The Raptors won the initial meeting (123-117) while the teams play their final match on April 27th.
Brooklyn played Tuesday so the Raptors have the rest advantage but just finished playing nine games in 14 days.

Despite only having one of the Nets Big 3 available Kyrie Irving got lots of help versus the Pelicans.
Irving led the way with 32 points and eight assists but turned the ball over five times. The ball was moving with lots of dime dishing as Landry Shamet scored 18 points with eight assists and Jeff Green scored 15 with nine assists.
Joe Harris added 24 points while Bruce Brown delivered a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds and Blake Griffin pitched in with 16 points and eight rebounds.
Neither club paid much attention to the defensive side of the hardwood although the Nets won the glass (44-37) and kept paint scoring close (58 to 60).
Assuming the Nets replicate their Tuesday injury list seven players would be out. Specifically, James Harden (hamstring), Kevin Durant (thigh), Tyler Johnson (knee soreness), Chris Chiozza (hand), and both Nicolas Claxton and Reggie Perrie due to health protocols. Spencer Dinwiddie (knee) is lost for the season.
Toronto Raptors
Like the Nets the Raptors have been dealing with injury woes but amassed a three-game win streak with primarily reserve talents playing.
Kyle Lowry missed all three games. Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby only played versus the Spurs, Fred VanVleet only played versus the Magic and then only for 23 minutes while Gary Trent Jr. was the only starter to play versus the Thunder.
The wins last week witnessed the rise of many Raptors’ reserves. Paul Watson got his first NBA start scoring a career-best 30 points versus the Magic while Yuta Watanabe also collected a career-best 21 points. On Monday, Toronto upgraded Watanabe from a two-way contract to a full varsity deal.
Rookie Malachi Flynn is improving with his additional playing time. Yet, the biggest difference is upfront via the pick-up of Khem Birch and Freddie Gillespie.
The latter was given a second 10-day contract this week. If the Raptors keep winning and Gillespie continues to be a factor it’s conceivable the Raptors will sign him to a full contract.
Notably, since Birch’s first game Aron Baynes has not touched the hardwood.
Paul Watson and Rodney Hood are both out Wednesday due to tendonitis while Jalen Harris is out with a hip pointer.
