Thursday, April 29th the Brooklyn Nets and Indiana Pacers play for the third and final time this season. The Nets won both prior matches on Februrary 10th (104-94) and March 17th (124-115).
The teams have played a total of 184 occasions in their history with the Pacers winning 104 contests. Last season, the clubs played three times with the Pacers taking two of the three contests.
The Nets became the first team in the Eastern Conference to cement their postseason berth joining the Jazz as the only other team to have clinched postseason play.YOU CAN CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT OUR TOP NBA HANDICAPPERS IN THE WORLD! (All Under 1 Roof)
It was the first win versus the Raptors after losing the two prior matches. In his second game back from a thigh injury Kevin Durant scored just 17 points but made an impact on both ends of the court.
The Nets ‘others’ were a factor in the win as Kyrie Irving (nine points, six rebounds, four assists) was held in check by the Raptors
While it was an important win for Brooklyn they were the rested team albeit without the services of James Harden but Toronto was missing their top two bench players (Chris Boucher, Gary Trent Jr.).
Brooklyn hasn’t had any issues with netting wins via one or two of their superstars in the mix but with only seven games played with the big three the question is how the situation will change when they are all on the court. It might be an easy transition but when everyone else isn’t getting frequent shots how will that impact their rhythm?
With 11 games remaining for Brooklyn and Harden still off the court it’s unlikely Steve Nash will get the answer to that question any time soon. Nash noted post game Harden is doing light work but still has a ways to go before returning.
Turns out home isn’t necessarily where the heart is – – at least this season. With seven games remaining the best Indiana can finish is 18-18 which will end a 31 year winning home record.
The loss to the Blazers also ended their three-game winning streak. It was a lost opportunity to make up some ground on the eighth seeded Hornets who also lost on Tuesday and possess only a single game margin over Indy.
With their frontcourt decimated by injury Indy couldn’t keep up on the glass allowing Portland to dominate the boards 57-37. Nor did they handle the perimeter allowing the Blazers to shot 57.1% from deep and nail 20 triples.
Oshae Brissett has been a revelation for the Pacers. In his five recent starts he’s averaging 15.6 points and 9.5 rebounds with three double-doubles including the one he registered Tuesday (18 points and 10 rebounds).
Malcolm Brogdon (18), Caris LeVert (16), and Doug McDermott (13) were the other double-figure scorers.
Goga Bitadze (ankle), Domantas Sabonis (back) and Jeremy Lamb (knee) didn’t play Tuesday and are questionable for Thursday. Myles Turner (toe) as noted is out as is T.J. Warren (foot) is out for the season.
NBA Betting Trends:

Free Brooklyn Nets vs. Indiana Pacers NBA Prediction:
The Pacers may be the more desperate squad but the Nets are using every game to develop chemistry among their support staff and the superstars. Indy is in tough without three main frontcourt players which bodes well for Brooklyn feasting on the boards and getting out in the fast break — read: easy scores.
