Is Wednesday the night when the Brooklyn Nets remarkable streak comes to an end? It’s been a solid six victories in a row for Kenny Atkinson’s team but they’re in a tough spot tonight vs. the Bulls. Chicago isn’t necessarily tough – just the fact that Brooklyn comes in on the 2nd leg of a B2B after beating the Lakers 115-110 on Tuesday.
Chicago could pull out the win – or get destroyed horribly. Over the past five games the Bulls have lost by nearly 60 to the Celtics, got outscored by 30 in the 2nd half to the Kings, and lost by 25 to the Thunder. They also beat San Antonio 98-93 on the road in that span so who knows what you get with Chicago tonight.
Brooklyn Nets
Although they were about a bucket underdog, the Nets win over the Lakers on Tuesday wasn’t entirely shocking considering LA was on their 3rd road game in 4 nights. Lebron James was dominant for the Lakers with 36 points, but Brooklyn countered with a solid, balanced attack that saw six players score in double figures.

Overall the Nets rank 14th in scoring but just 21st in field goal percentage on offense this season. That being said their offense has been one of the best in the league over the course of this six game stretch. Brooklyn has dropped 120+ in 3 of 6 and has at least 110 in all but one game.
Yes the Nets still just sit in 10th in the Eastern Conference but they’ve beaten some pretty solid teams on their most recent run. In the past 12 days Brooklyn has taken down Toronto, Philadelphia, and the Lakers and prior to that fell by two points to OKC. Normally they’d be huge favorites at Chicago if not for the B2B.

The Nets will score but they’ll also give up some points. Brooklyn’s D has allowed 110+ in four straight including a 144-127 win over Atlanta on Sunday in which the Hawks shot 56% from the field. Even though they are fatigued, can Brooklyn shut down a Chicago offense that looks like a horror film right now?
Chicago Bulls
Wednesday’s O/U is 215 which is counting on a lot of points from the Nets considering Chicago has only broken the century mark once in the past 7 games. Chicago’s leading scorer Zach Lavine will miss his 3rd straight game with an ankle injury and the Bulls are giving everybody on the roster a shot now as they went 13 deep last time out.
As bad as their record indicates Chicago still has the talent to end Brooklyn’s winning streak especially when the Nets are in a B2B. Kris Dunn scored 24 in San Antonio on Saturday filling in for Lavine and Lauri Markkanen had 23 points vs. the Spurs and grabbed 15 rebounds vs. OKC on Monday.

Starters De’Angelo Russell (34:03), Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (37:33), and Joe Harris (37:02) all logged major court time for the Nets on Tuesday as did Spencer Dinwiddie (33:41) off the bench. That’s a huge advantage for a Chicago team that has not only had a night off – but also never had a player see more than 30 minutes of court time on Monday.
NBA Betting Trends:
- Nets are 6-0 ATS their last 6 overall
- Nets are 1-7 ATS their last 8 on 0 days rest
- Home team is 4-1 ATS the last 5 meetings
Free Brooklyn Nets vs. Chicago Bulls NBA Prediction:
The Bulls are at home and although they are just 4-11 at the United Center they should see some momentum on Wednesday. Brooklyn is fatigued and goes on the road for the 1st time in 3 games. What’s weird about the Nets schedule is that they go right back home for three straight which makes Wednesday night’s tilt with Chicago just a hiccup.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Bulls +1.5
Chicago has some talent and the Nets will give them this one as they look forward to a night off and three more games back home.
