Charlotte Hornets
The Hornets kicked off 2017 with a rocky start, losing five straight games. Charlotte got a nice win to snap that losing streak against Portland and will look to keep things going in the right direction against the Nets.
Charlotte has had a solid year defensively. The team ranks 10th in the league in opponent’s points per game, giving up just over 103 per game.
On the other end of the floor, the Hornets average about 105 points per game. Without question, the bulk of that offense is generated by point guard Kemba Walker. He is having the best season of his career, averaging 23 points per game on 46% shooting. He also posts 4.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game, making him a solid all-around player for Charlotte.

Guard-forward Nicolas Batum has played well, also. He’s averaging 15 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 5.9 assists for the Hornets. He’s been a vital part of the team on both sides of the floor and has been a great number two for Kemba.
