This will be the first meeting between these ACC clubs since 2015 when Duke won 9-7. Blue Devils have one game under their belt, while this will be the Eagle’s first game of the year.
Boston College Eagles
Boston College brings in a new head coach for the 2020 season in Jeff Hafley, who was the former offensive coordinator at Ohio State. Eagles went 6-7 in last year with two different coaches at the helm.
The offense is going to look very different this year as they are replacing Anthony Brown at quarterback as he transferred to Oregon. Sophomore Phil Jurkvoec will take over QB for the Eagles after transferring over from Notre Dame. Jurkvoec has had limited playing time in college having less than 25 pass attempts for the Irish as a freshman. He is known to be a dual-threat quarterback (also former 5-star recruit) and that bodes well with that fact he’s working with an offensive coordinator as his head coach.

David Bailey will be the feature running back this year in BC’s offense as they lost leading rusher A.J. Dillion to the NFL draft this past year. Bailey has a chance to be the next Eagles back that gets drafted into the NFL as he is a big threat to rack up yards. In 2019, he had over 938 scrimmage yards to go with his eight scores.
Duke Blue Devils
Duke is coming off a game against the Notre Dame Irish in which they were able to keep it close going into the fourth quarter before the mistakes piled on ultimately losing 27-13.
Chase Brice looked pretty good in his Duke debut on Saturday throwing for 259 yards and one rushing touchdown. He completed 20 of his 37 pass attempts and show off his legs by having 20 yards on the ground.
Head coach Dave Cutcliffe needs to get his offense going other Brice as their leading rusher had 54 yards and not one receiver got over 80 yards in the game. The Blue Devils should have an easier time scoring this week though as they are going up against a much weaker defense in the Eagles.
Defensively, Duke is led by a strong-defensive pass rush thanks to Victor Dimukeje who had 8.5 sacks in 2019. He did a nice job containing Ian Book in the pocket on Saturday and will have to be even better in this match up with BC as their new quarterback is mobile.

Give me Boston College to cover and possibly get the upset in their first game.
