Stephen Curry, GSW (@ HOU), $9.3k DK
Kevin Durant is sitting out Wednesday’s contest at Houston, meaning it’s either Stephen Curry or Klay Thompson you absolutely must buy into. Spoiler alert: We’re highlighting both. Curry could very well use this contest to make his mone-stretch MVP run, and whether or not he’s being defended by Chris Paul, he’ll have both a mental and statistical advantage. The Rockets are in the upper half of the league when defending guards in DFS this season, but they’re also outside the top 10. That may be all Curry needs.
Klay Thompson, GSW (@ HOU) $7.2k DK
Klay Thompson has a tendency to go off—particularly on national television—when he’s been quiet for a while. But you know what? He went for 39 points, hitting 9-of-11 three-point jumpers two games ago against a very good defensive team in the second-seeded Denver Nuggets, and we’re thinking he channels that energy once again on ESPN with Durant out.
Draymond Green, GSW (@ HOU), $5.9k DK
We really didn’t set out to make this a Golden State Warriors Edition of our Daily DFS highlights. But as we went deep into analysis mode, we just couldn’t help it. Against the Rockets—with no Durant on the court—Draymond Green is worth considering. With KD out, he’ll feel more emboldened to create his own shots out of the elbow instead of just creating for others. That may even give him the energy he needs for a cool triple-double on national television. Who’s to say?
Moe Ingles, UTAH (@ PHO) $6.2 DK
This is the type of game made for Joe Ingles. The only problem with it is that he’s not going to be under a national spotlight. But that aside, he’s the type of player built to exceed his price-tag value on Wednesday night. At $6.2k, he could very well be one of the more surprising players when it comes to top-tier production, or close to it.
John Collins, ATL (vs MEM), $7.6k
John Collins is far from an easy home run at $7.6k, but he’s also going up against a Grizzlies team that isn’t quite as good as advertised. The Memphis Grizz are currently 14th when defending Collins’ position in DFS over the course of the entire year, but this roster changed drastically when Jaren Jackson Jr. left the lineup indefinitely with an injury and Marc Gasol was traded to the Toronto Raptors in an entirely different conference. The Collins that the Hawks have grown to know and love should have a great chance at finding big-time success on Wednesday night, and the season-long numbers don’t sell that narrative, but they’re not telling the most complete story, either.
One last thing. Remember… at the end of the day if you can’t afford to gamble online OR play at Draft Kings and Fan Duel then STOP. We know most DFS players need action, heck we do too, so just bet what you can afford.
Don’t go chasing money in high dollar GPP’s. Stick to cash games, and try to play on bigger slates. Avoid those night time 2 games slates. Your bankroll will thank us later.
