Chris Paul, HOU, $9.1 DK, $9.6k FD
Choosing Chris Paul or James Harden anytime the Houston Rockets play is always a smart choice. On Tuesday, you’re better off going with Paul, who is nearly$2k cheaper on DraftKings and is facing a Minnesota squad who is just 23rd in stopping players at Paul’s position in DFS.
Yogi Ferrell, DAL, $4.5k DK, $4.5k FD
Yogi Ferrell represents a high-risk, high-reward play. But the truth is, his ceiling is high, but his floor may also be higher than you think.
On Tuesday, Ferrell and his Dallas Mavericks will face off against the lowly Sacramento Kings. Sacramento is dead last in defensive efficiency this season, and Ferrell has some momentum behind him coming off a 35.75-point DFS showing against the Houston Rockets.
Jimmy Butler, MIN, $9.3k DK, $9.7k FD
Jimmy Butler is a strong pick night in and night out, but against the Houston Rockets, he’s destined to put up a good scoring night and a good performance across the stat sheet.
Larry Nance Jr., CLE, $4.5k DK, $4.6k FD
Cleveland loves Larry Nance Jr. Not only is the the offspring of arguably the greatest power forward in Cavs history, but he’s a young, energetic, hungry, athletic player at the position.
His showing in his Cavaliers debut vs. Boston was strong but not headline-worthy. It will surely take a bit of time before he has a consistent spot in the rotation, but against OKC on Tuesday, he’ll be a threat to get involved in a multitude of DFS categories.
Steven Adams, OKC, $6.8k DK, $7.1k FD
Although it’s true Cleveland has looked good since their trade deadline roster overhaul, Steven Adams will have the luxury in this one of playing against one of the few positions the Cavs actually chose to upgrade.
Tristan Thompson continues to be an overpaid player at the 5 position, and if Nance Jr. gets some run in the middle, Adams will have the advantage of being the stronger physical presence.
Although we don’t like this game as a true stack opportunity, Adams and Nance do provide good value at different positions and for different reasons.
If you can afford LeBron James, of course go with him. But if you’re looking for a more balanced lineup, this is your better approach.
- QST: Russell Westbrook/Carmelo Anthony, G/F, OKC [UPGRADES: Paul George, Raymond Felton]
- OUT: LaMarcus Aldridge, F/C, WSH [UPGRADES: Davis Bertans]
- OUT: Kevin Love, F/C, CLE [UPGRADES: Larry Nance, Jr.]
- QST: Kawhi Leonard, F, SAS [UPGRADES: Kyle Anderson, Dejounte Murray]
One last thing. Remember… at the end of the day if you can’t afford to gamble online OR play at Draft Kings and Fan Duel then STOP. We know most DFS players need action, heck we do too, so just bet what you can afford.
Don’t go chasing money in high dollar GPP’s. Stick to cash games, and try to play on bigger slates. Avoid those night time 2 games slates. Your bankroll will thank us later.
