Guards
Stephen Curry, GSW (vs PHX), $9.1k DK
There are two tier-1 guards available on Sunday, and while James Harden is the obvious best choice, Stephen Curry might be the better choice when considering the context. Curry is playing the Suns, who are just 25th when defending the guard position in DFS, while Harden and the Rockets are up against a Dallas squad that is 12th in the same category. At $11.3k, Harden isn’t the value piece Curry is this go-round.
Derrick Rose, MIN (vs NYK) $5.0k DK
Derrick Rose has been inconsistent since his midseason All-Star push, but he’s facing off against his former team and has plenty of motivation to strive for a class D-Rose showing. He’s coming off a lackluster performance, though, so only take this ride if you think he can turn it around and that a lack of momentum is less than important.

Forwards
Julius Randle, NOLA (@ ATL), $8.5k DK
Julius Randle is one of the reasons Curry is a better tier-1 guard option than Harden. Spending $2.2k less at the guard position allows you to spend a little higher later on and that’s where Randle comes in. Against Atlanta—the No. 29 team in the NBA this season defending Randle’s position in DFS—Randle should have a field day whether or not Anthony Davis plays, who is questionable as of this writing.
Kevin Knox, NYK (@ MIN) $4.5 DK
Kevin Knox’s season hasn’t been the Rookie of the Year campaign many thought they’d see out of the presumed future of the New York Knicks (unless, of course, they land Kyrie Irving or Kevin Durant this summer). But on Sunday, he—like Derrick Rose—is going up against a team that struggles mightily when defending his position in DFS. Knox represents a bit of a risk, but he’s also a player with a high ceiling considering his price, and he appears ready for his next breakout performance.
Center
Brook Lopez, MIL (@ SAS), $5.3k
The Milwaukee Bucks (and more specifically, head coach Mike Budenholzer) have finally untapped Brook Lopez’s full potential. No, we’re not talking about being a complete player—Lopez had some very good seasons with the Nets, after all. But where his biggest impact is felt is as a specialist. It wasn’t until his final season with the Nets until he started shooting the long ball, and now he’s knocking down 2.5 per game and taking 6.5 per contest. Against the Spurs, he should get plenty of looks.
