Stephen Curry (@ PHX) $10.1k DK
It’s going to be tempting to fade Stephen Curry on Monday because of his high price—not to mention the fact that everybody under the sun will be drafting him. But this game has a chance to be his best of the young season.
If you have a tier-1 star in mind at the forward or center positions, you can look at Klay Thompson as a potential high-ceiling, high-risk pick. But Curry should have no problem putting up big time numbers against a poor defense in a fast-paced environment.
Zach LaVine, CHI (vs DAL), $7.1k DK
Zach LaVine is looking like he’s worth all that money he signed for despite coming off a torn ACL a year ago. At least on offense, but that’s what really matters for this purpose.
Against Dallas, LaVine and his Chicago Bulls will be going up against a Mavericks squad that sits dead last in Defensive Efficiency to tip off 2018-19.
LaVine will have a field day against the Dallas backcourt.
Joe Ingles, UTAH (vs MEM), $6.4k DK
Joe Ingles has been a scoring machine for the Utah Jazz, and while the sample size is extremely small and will inevitably see him come back down to earth, he’s putting the ball through the bucket at an insanely high level of efficiency.
Although the small-sample-size disclaimer still applies, it’s important to note that the Grizzlies have been a bottom-10 defensive team to start the new year.
These aren’t your father’s grit-and-grind Grizzlies, and this isn’t your father’s Joe Ingles.
Zach Collins, POR (vs WSH), $3.7k DK
Zach Collins represents a risk here, but one worth taking. His cost is low, his ceiling is high and when he’s on, the second-year lottery pick can impact a game on both ends of the court, scoring at the rim, hitting shots beyond the arc and blocking shots.
Washington may get some added rebounding if Dwight Howard is able to play in his first game of the 2018-19 campaign, but it will also likely limit his minutes and will definitely have a learning curve as it pertains to incorporating a brand new integral piece.
Myles Turner, IND (@ MIN) $6k DK
You’ve already heard us say this once this season, but you’d better believe this won’t be the last.
It’s time to pick on Karl-Anthony Towns.
Towns, as talented as he is on offense, leaves a lot to be desired on the point-preventing side of the court. Myles Turner, who, admittedly, hasn’t had a real fast start to the year, should have one of his better showings while people sleep on his early showings.
- Rajon Rondo/Brandon Ingram, G/F, LAL [UPGRADES: Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart]
One last thing. Remember… at the end of the day if you can’t afford to gamble online OR play at Draft Kings and Fan Duel then STOP. We know most DFS players need action, heck we do too, so just bet what you can afford.
Don’t go chasing money in high dollar GPP’s. Stick to cash games, and try to play on bigger slates. Avoid those night time 2 games slates. Your bankroll will thank us later.
