Terry Rozier, BOS (@ PHO), $7.6 DK, $7.1k FD
Terry Rozier isn’t yet a household name among casual fans, but he’s made a serious impact on the DFS community that his cost is well justified here.
Against Phoenix—a team that’s going to approach each game by planning on creating possessions and (basically) playing bad defense—his value is going to exceed his cost. With Kyrie Irving out for the foreseeable future, this is an easy pick.
Jaylen Brown, BOS (@ PHO) $5.1k DK, $6.0k FD
We’re not going to make this article a list of players from a stacked Boston Celtics vs. Phoenix Suns game. But we can’t pass up on Jaylen Brown at his cost.
Brown has underwhelmed a bit as of late in terms of total box scores, but he is coming off a 19-point performance. With so many opportunities to fill the box score in a game against a team destined to create possessions, he’s less of a risk—especially when you consider his very reasonable cost.
Robert Covington (vs DEN), $5.8k DK, $5.9k FD
Against Denver, you’ll be tempted to take Ben Simmons. Joel Embiid is easier to pass on because Nikola Jokic is going to stuff the stats sheet, but Simmons will rack up plenty of stats against a squad that struggles in DFS against his position.
But if you’re looking at spending your money elsewhere, Robert Covington is the Sixers second-tier star who will really make a name for himself in this contest. He dropped 34 FPTS in his last outing, and the Nuggets are just 28th at defending his position.
Luke Kennard, DET (vs LAL), $4.5k DK, $4.6k FD
If you haven’t heard of Luke Kennard yet this season, you better axe somebody.
Kennard is averaging 29.42 points in DFS over his last three, and he’s carved out a nice role on the Detroit Pistons since the squad traded some of its depth for Blake Griffin. At his cost, this is an easy choice against a Lakers squad that doesn’t have anything to play for at this point in the year.
Andre Drummond, DET (vs LAL) $9.7k DK, $10.2k FD
If you haven’t budgeted for a top-tier center, Andre Drummond won’t be a draft able player on Monday. But if you’re center-conscientious and have pegged out a few value picks ahead of this position, Drummond is going to be a perfect selection against the Los Angeles Lakers.
- Devin Booker (QST) [UPGRADES: Tyler Ullis, Marquese Criss]
- Kyrie Irving (QST) [UPGRADES: Terry Rozier]
- Jimmy Butler (OUT) [UPGRADES: Andrew Wiggins, Derrick Rose, Karl-Anthony Towns]
One last thing. Remember… at the end of the day if you can’t afford to gamble online OR play at Draft Kings and Fan Duel then STOP. We know most DFS players need action, heck we do too, so just bet what you can afford.
Don’t go chasing money in high dollar GPP’s. Stick to cash games, and try to play on bigger slates. Avoid those night time 2 games slates. Your bankroll will thank us later.
