Marshon Brooks, MEM, (vs MIN), $6.2k DK, $6.5k FD
Marshon Brooks has been a breath of fresh air for the Memphis Grizzlies.
Well, unless you realize that his play has contributed to enough wins recently to knock the Grizz out of the top spot in terms of lottery odds—but that’s another topic altogether.
With Brooks doing serious work and the Minnesota Timberwolves still working Jimmy Butler back into the system, this is an easy pick at the guard position.
Patty Mills, SAS (vs SAC) $4.5k DK, $5.0k FD
Patty Mills has been extremely consistent as of late, and while that applies to his overall play, it also applies to playing above his cost. Over his last six games, he’s averaging 25.8 FPTS per night, but if you exclude his one poor performance (an outlier), that number rises to a cool 31 even.
LaMarcus Aldridge, SAS (vs SAC), $9.9k DK, $9.9k FD
Like his teammate Mills, LaMarcus Aldridge has been consistently awesome as of late, but on a whole different level.
If it weren’t for Aldridge, the San Antonio Spurs would be out of the playoff picture altogether considering how absent Kawhi Leonard has been from the team this year.
Nikola Mirotic, NOLA (@ LAC), $6.1k DK, $6.9k FD
Nikola Mirotic has been a beast in the New Orleans Pelicans’ last two outings. He’s posted an average of 55 FPTS per game in his last two, and he’s going up against a Los Angeles Clippers team on Monday that is mediocre at best defending DFS players at his position.
Nikola Jokic, DEN (vs POR) $10.8k DK, $11.5k FD
“Context” is a dangerous X-factor in DFS. Sometimes a rivalry game can produce surprising results, other times it’s run of the mill. Sometimes a player’s revenge game gives him the night of his life, other times he flops from the pressure.
In Portland Trail Blazers vs. Denver Nuggets, though, there’s context you need to understand. Both teams have a lot at stake. The Blazers are one win away from locking in home-court advantage for the first round of the playoffs. The Nuggets are desperately trying to get into the top eight seeds.
Both teams should come out firing, and in an ultra competitive game (one that the Nuggets need to win more than the Blazers), Nikola Jokic has the potential to go down as one of the entire night’s top performers.
- Joel Embiid, C, PHI (OUT) [UPGRADES: Richaun Holmes, Robert Covington]
- Blake Griffin, F, DET (OUT) [UPGRADES: Andre Drummond]
- Giannis Antetokounmpo, F, MIL )OUT) [UPGRADES: Jabari Parker]
One last thing. Remember… at the end of the day if you can’t afford to gamble online OR play at Draft Kings and Fan Duel then STOP. We know most DFS players need action, heck we do too, so just bet what you can afford.
Don’t go chasing money in high dollar GPP’s. Stick to cash games, and try to play on bigger slates. Avoid those night time 2 games slates. Your bankroll will thank us later.
