Guards
Derrick Rose, MIN (@ SAC), $6.8 DK
If we’ve learned anything about this year’s Minnesota Timberwolves, it’s that Jimmy Butler has a propensity for taking games off, both physically and mentally, when his team’s not on national television.
The Timberwolves, as it turns out, are not playing on national television on Friday, and they are also playing one of the worst teams in the league in terms of defending guards.
Jimmy won’t care what happens here, whereas Derrick Rose is officially on everyone’s radar. This should be the perfect storm for another vintage D-Rose kind of night.
De’Aaron Fox, SAC (vs MIN) $6.9k DK
As much as we love Derrick Rose in this contest, we also love his direct counterpart. Rose isn’t a lockdown defender. He never was when his knees were good, he’s certainly not now as he learns to play with a new elderly body.
De’Aaron Fox, on the other hand, is as athletic and quick as it comes among young guards. Neither will stop the other, which means both are a nice stack opportunity despite their teams playing one another.

Forwards
Evan Fournier, ORL (vs WSH), $6.4k DK
Evan Fournier has the distinct advantage on Friday of going up against one of the league’s worst teams AND one of the league’s worst defenses. This is a no-brainer, as he should play above his relatively high price.
JJ Redick, PHI (vs CHA), $5.2 DK
The Philadelphia 76ers have underwhelmed so far in comparison to their high expectations. Yes, they’re still in fourth out East, but this was supposed to be a team that would contend for a top-three spot, if not the No. 1 overall seed.
Luckily for Philly, there’s a lot of basketball left to be played. Also lucky for Philadelphia is that the team has a player in JJ Redick who has been consistently good while its stars and other role players have seen peaks and valleys.
Your ceiling isn’t ultra high by taking Redick, but he’s a good safe pick if you have a fun risk at a different position.
Centers
Al Horford, BOS (@ UTAH) $6.2k DK
The Utah Jazz have a reputation as one of the best defensive teams in the league, and quite frankly, they’ve earned it. But here’s the thing: This year’s defense isn’t quite as dominant as it’s been in years past.
And regardless of how good Rudy Robert is at locking down the paint, the Jazz are just 29th out of 30 teams in DFS when defending the center position.
Al Horford should have plenty of good looks both at the rim and above the arc in this one.

One last thing. Remember… at the end of the day if you can’t afford to gamble online OR play at Draft Kings and Fan Duel then STOP. We know most DFS players need action, heck we do too, so just bet what you can afford.
Don’t go chasing money in high dollar GPP’s. Stick to cash games, and try to play on bigger slates. Avoid those night time 2 games slates. Your bankroll will thank us later.
