Andrew Wiggins, MIN (@ NOLA), $6.0k DK
Andrew Wiggins isn’t somebody we recommend very often because of how streaky he can be—meaning just how awful he can play on any given night.
Against New Orleans, however, the matchup is right. Not only are the Pelicans going to be a mess when it comes to their own chemistry after dealing Nikola Mirotic and somehow reintroducing Anthony Davis to their lineup, but NOLA is dead last this season when defending Wiggins’ position.
Wiggins is in a bit of a down stretch following a 50.25 FPTS game just three contests ago, but this could be where he gets his mojo back.
JJ Redick, PHI (vs DEN) $5.4k DK
There’s going to be a lot of intrigue around Philly’s game vs. Denver on Friday. Not only have the Nuggets been the No. 1 or 2 seed out West all season, making this a good litmus test approaching the All-Star break, but the team will officially be introducing its Big 4 with the addition of Tobias Harris.
As exciting as that is for Philly fans, Harris may take some time to get comfortable. As a result, Simmons and Embiid may defer to him too often in an attempt to expedite that process.
If you’re looking to find a more consistent option, JJ Redick is your guy. His ceiling is a lot lower than those four teammates of his, but his floor is actually high relative to his cost—and that last part is the most important.
Julius Randle (vs MIN), $8.0k DK
Julius Randle should fall pretty much into the shadows on Friday when Anthony Davis makes his return to the Pelicans’ lineup. New Orleans chose not to trade AD, but they also had no choice but to reinsert him, otherwise the league would’ve taken action against the franchise for resting a healthy player.
Ads a result, Randle’s numbers might otherwise suffer with Davis back to control the box score, but NOLA’s decision to trade Nikola Mirotic helps his case. He’s a sneaky good pick who could end up being one of the best value picks of the night.
Draymond Green (@ PHO), $6.1 DK
Draymond Green is the kind of player who can impact a box score in just about every way. The Phoenix Suns are a team equipped to give up a big game in just about every category.
This is a match made in DFS heaven at just over $6k.
Marvin Bagley III, SAC (vs MIA) $6.2k DK
Marvin Bagley has looked good in Sacramento’s system as of late. Rookie of the Year is pretty much out of the question at this point for anyone not named Luka Doncic, but Minnesota is just 23rd when defending Bagley’s position in DFS, making the upward-trending rookie a good bet.
One last thing. Remember… at the end of the day if you can’t afford to gamble online OR play at Draft Kings and Fan Duel then STOP. We know most DFS players need action, heck we do too, so just bet what you can afford.
Don’t go chasing money in high dollar GPP’s. Stick to cash games, and try to play on bigger slates. Avoid those night time 2 games slates. Your bankroll will thank us later.
