Centers
Anze Kopitar – LAK @ (MIN) — $6.2K DraftKings /$12.7K FantasyDraft
Kopitar has been playing great hockey so far this year. He’s once again leading the Kings with 11 points in 10 games (4G/7A/26SOG).
He’s still been able to manage over a point per game, in spite of the Kings owning one of the NHL’s worst power play conversion rates at just 10.3% to start the season.
Both Minnesota and the Kings sit in the bottom 5 of the league with goals allowed — expect a wide open game with plenty of scoring chances.
Bryan Little – WPG vs (CAL) — $3.3K DraftKings /$6.3K FantasyDraft
Little has returned to the Jets lineup after missing the first 9 games of the season. He’s slotted right back onto the second line.
The Jet’s have made a minor tweak with their top 2 lines. Back on the top line is winger Nikolaj Ehlers and moved down the 2nd line with Little, is shoot first sniper Patrik Laine.
This is a move that’s only going to add value to Bryan Little. He’s also seeing time on the 2nd PP unit. He’s priced too well to not consider rostering tonight against the Flames.
Also Consider – Kyle Turris (NSH @ TB) Moved up to the second line with Matt Duchene and Mikael Granlund with Forsberg out. Should see an uptick in ice time with more offensive zone starts.
Wingers
Nikita Kucherov – TB vs (NSH) — $6.9K DraftKings /$14.2K FantasyDraft
Scoreless in his last 5 games.
That’s a statement you would rarely make regarding the play of Kucherov. Unfortunately for Tampa this season that is just the case.
What’s even more surprising is the fact that talented center, Brayden Point, has been back for those last five games. Plus, he’s still seeing almost 60% offensive zone starts, which should help him see some more scoring opportunities.
Surprising would be an understatement to see Kucherov go 6 straight games without a goal. Especially against the Preds’ team letting in over 3 per game. Take advantage of the discount.
Ondrej Palat – TB vs (NSH) — $5K DraftKings /$10.1K FantasyDraft
Palat will be playing alongside Kucherov and Point on Tampas’ 2nd line tonight against Nashville. He’s priced way too well to pass up when he’s paired with those two.
He’ s been one of the more consistent point producers in the league, averaging .66 points per game over his career.
Palat will also see time tonight on the number one power play unit. He’s in a good spot to pick up a few points tonight in what should be a high scoring game.
Defense
Ivan Provorov – PHI vs (CBJ) — $5.2K DraftKings /$10.2K FantasyDraft
Provorov is finally taking the reigns as the number one defender in Philly. He leads all skaters in ice time with over 23+ minutes a night.
The Flyers have been experimenting with Provorov on the top PP unit at times this season, and he could see some time there tonight in place of Shane Gostisbehere.
He’s put up a respectable 5 points in 8 games this season — he’s priced in very well for his upside against the Jackets team sitting bottom 10 in goals allowed.
Also Consider – Jeff Petry (MTL vs TOR): Petry put up 4 points in 4 games against the Leafs last season. He’s averaging over 24 minutes a night with a 60% offensive zone starts this year.
Goalies
Tuukka Rask (Probable) — BOS vs (STL) — $8K DraftKings /$17.2K FantasyDraft
Large Saturday night slates always make choosing your goalie somewhat of a task — unless you’ve been going with Rask.
Facing the defending champion St. Louis Blues at home will be a test for the Bruins – one they will absolutely be up for, as they chase their own Stanley Cup aspirations this year.
Rask has put up stellar numbers this season. He’s yet to lose in regulation with a 4-0-1 record, a ridiculous 1.77GA and a save percentage of .944%. Just absurd.
Here’s a preview of what one of my lineups will end up looking like. Good luck on this busy Saturday slate everyone!
