Centers
Dylan Larkin – DET @ (CAL) — $6.6K DraftKings /$13.5K FantasyDraft
The 23 year old center is off to a solid start after a breakout campaign last season with the rebuilding Red Wings. He’s centering one of the NHL’s most productive lines with Tyler Bertuzzi and Anthony Mantha as his wingers.
Visiting the Flames tonight, Larkin and the Wings are looking to bounce back after a tough loss in Vancouver where they only managed to put up a single goal.
Larkin is once again being counted on to drive the offense with the young Red Wings. So far, he’s doing just that, with a Corsi rating of 53% going into tonight’s game; 7 points in 6 games and leading all Detroit forwards with over 21 minutes a game.
Paul Stastny – VGK @ (OTT) — $6.2K DraftKings /$12.6K FantasyDraft
With the return of Cody Eakin to the Knights have shuffled their line up in the last few games, moving Stastny back in the middle with Max Pacioretty and Mark Stone.
He started the season off slow, but Stastny has picked up 5 points in the last 2 games. His salary price seems slow to react to those numbers. I’d continue to roll with him as long as he’s seeing second line minutes.

Wingers
Johnathan Drouin – MTL vs. (MIN) — $4.7K DraftKings /$9.4K FantasyDraft
Even though Drouin has spent most of the season on the Canadiens third line, he’s still seeing time on the number one PP unit and averaging over 16 minutes a game.
With an average of an astounding 60% offensive zone starts Drouin, and line mate Joel Armia, are getting multiple set play opportunities to create chances for Montreal.
The Wild sit near the bottom of the league in SV% and goals against, and may have issues with the Canadiens speed and tempo.
Calle Järnkrok – NSH @ (ARZ) — $3.5K DraftKings /$7.4K FantasyDraft
The Predators are just flat out scoring at an unreal pace; over 4.5 goals to start the season. How long they can keep it up remains the question.
Järnkrok has been contributing to this offensive outburst himself, 5 points in 6 games and impressively 4 of those points coming at even strength.
His play is getting noticed as he’s skating on the top line with Ryan Johansen and Viktor Arvidsson. His ice time continues to climb as well, going from 13 a night to almost 17 in his last game. Huge value potential tonight.
Defense
Ryan Ellis- NSH @ (ARZ) — $4.8K DraftKings /$9.5K FantasyDraft
As previously mentioned, Nashville is scoring almost at will. A big reason why has been contributions from their defense.
Ellis, Josi and Elkholm have combined for 18 points 6 games, with Ellis leading the trio with 7.
While Arizona has been playing well defensively, Ellis should have ample opportunity to create scoring chances, both at even strength and on the 2nd line power play unit, as he’s averaging over 22 minutes a game with an elite level Corsi of 60%.
Jacob Trouba – NYR @ (NJD) — $6K DraftKings /$12.2K FantasyDraft
It’s only been three games into the season, and the sample size is small, but Trouba is fitting in nicely with his new Rangers team.
Being placed on the top PP unit and averaging almost 24 minutes a night, Trouba has a tidy line of 1G/3A/4PTS/8BLK/9SOG in just three games. He’s been a big factor in a Rangers PP unit converting at over 33% to start the season.
With all the other big defensive options available tonight on the large slate, Trouba might be a sneaky play tonight against a Devils team still searching for their first win of the season.
Goalies
Marc-Andre Fleury (Probable) — VGK vs. (OTT) — $8.4K DraftKings /$17.5K FantasyDraft
It’s a tricky slate to pick out a safe choice at the goalie position tonight. Scoring is up across the board this year, and on any given night good goalies are getting lit up.
I’m rolling the dice with Fleury, mostly based on the fact that the Knights should be able to secure the win at home against a Senators team that has only scored 12 goals in 5 games.
