NCAA Basketball Betting – Ivy League Doubleheader
Our Sportsbooks: BetUS.com NCAA Basketball bettors looking to increase their respective collegiate basketball bankrolls, should take a look at tonight’s Ivy League NCAA Basketball Odds and matchups in the Top Sportsbooks.com Sportsbook.
Ere is a look at two of tonight’s Ivy League showdowns, followed by my NCAAB FreePicks on each contest.
Cornell at Brown
The Cornell Big Red, (10-5 SU, 4-2 ATS, 1-5 O/U) have won four consecutive games coming into tonight’s Ivy League showdown, including a solid 72-54 road win over Columbia on last Saturday.
The Brown Bears, (9-7 SU, 6-4 ATS, 5-5 O/U) avenged its Ivy-opening overtime loss to Yale by beating the Bulldogs 77-68 last Saturday.
Each team has gone 6-4 in its last 10 games, with Cornell going 3-1 against the spread in their last four games with a point spread and Brown going 3-2 against the spread in their last five games with a point spread.
Cornell is averaging 75.9 points per game on 47.7 percent shooting while allowing 72.7 points per game defensively. Brown averages 68.0 points per game on 44.9 percent shooting from the field while allowing 67.4 points per game defensively on 44.6 percent shooting.
Here are several of tonight’s key trends.
The Big Red are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
The Bears are 4-0 ATS in their last four vs. Ivy League.
The Under is 4-0 in Big Red last four games following a S.U. win.
The Under is 4-1 in Bears last five games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600.
The Big Red are 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings in Brown.
The Underdog is 8-1 ATS in the last nine meetings.
Analysis: With both teams being so evenly matched, this pick should simply go to the home team – the Brown Bears – who have covered the spread in four straight against Ivy League opponents.

Harvard at Penn
Tonight’s matchup between the Harvard Crimson, (6-12 SU, 4-5 ATS, 4-5 O/U) and Pennsylvania Quakers, (5-12 SU, 2-8-2 ATS, 6-6 O/U) features two teams that have struggled just to reach mediocrity this season.
The Crimson Tide, are 2-1 in their last three games but have been out of action for nearly three weeks, will need to shake off the long layoff, not to mention the bad taste left in their mouths from the 73-56 loss they took to Dartmouth on Jan. 11.
Harvard will enter The Palestra at Penn tonight seeking its first victory there since 1991, but will face a Penn team that is a far cry from the powerful program that former head coach Fran Dunphy built the program into.
The Quakers are coming off three straight Ivy League championships but lost last year’s star seniors in two-time Ivy League Player of the Year Ibrahim Jaaber and All-Ivy forward Mark Zoller.
Now, Penn is led by freshman Tyler Bernardini, who is leading the Quakers at 12.9 points per game.
Tonight’s matchup will be the Ivy opener for Penn, who lost their final three non-conference games, including a resounding 80-64 loss to city rivals, the Temple Owls on the road on Jan. 23
Here is a look at several of the game’s key trends.
The Crimson are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games vs. a team with a losing home record.
The Quakers are 5-1 ATS in their last six games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record.
The Under is 4-0 in Crimson last four games following a ATS loss.
The Under is 6-1 in Quakers last seven home games vs. a team with a road winning percentage of less than .400.
The Over is 4-1 in the last five meetings.
The Favorite is 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings.
Analysis: Both teams are allowing more points per game than they average – and in the case of Pennsylvania –it’s a 12.1 point per game differential. Still, I say the Quakers will win this matchup for one reason – the power of the Palestra, one of the nation’s most famous collegiate basketball courts. Take the raucous Philly crowd to spur the Quakers on to victory despite their apparent mediocrity.
