NCAA Football Betting – Money Lines Week 14
No thanks to South Carolina, who blew their lead in the dying seconds against Clemson last week, I finished 2-2.
Record: 26-9 (+2320)
UCLA Bruins @ USC Trojans (-1400)
When healthy, USC was a national championship contender. When injured, they suffered a couple of tough defeats. They are healthy again and will put the boots to UCLA. The Bruins have a pile of injuries of their own and will have a tough time pulling the upset like they did last year. Although UCLA should have their top two QB’s back, and probably won’t start their makeshift wide receiver-turned-quarterback, Osaar Rasshan, they won’t have a good time starting against a stout and healthy USC defense.
Pick: USC -1400
Pittsburgh Panthers @ West Virginia Mountaineers (-6000)
If you like to watch beatings, this should a one-sided Backyard Brawl. West Virginia just finished shredding Cincinnati and Connecticut, two of the top defenses in the Big East, and now gets a Panthers defense that lacks speed. West Virginia is playing for a National Championship, while Pitt will probably be canning Dave Wannstedt after the season is over.

Oregon State Beavers (PICK) @ Oregon Ducks
Not many dogs from me to pick from this week but I love this one. The Beavers have been playing well of last while the Ducks championship hope – and season – has gone into the tank. How does the Oregon option offense work with a gimpy ankle running it? Not very well. They were shutout for the first time in 22 years by UCLA last week and will likely struggle again to put points on the board. They are also losing the time of possession battle and leaving their defense on the field for too long – look for the Beavers, who lead the Pac 10 in sacks and interception to dominate the Ducks again in The Civil War.
Pick: Oregon State PICK
Virginia Tech Hokies @ Boston College Eagles (+176)
Virginia Tech is a team that has success when they run the ball and typically struggles when they can’t. The Eagles have only allowed one rusher to top 100 yards this season, which means that the Hokies will be relying on defense and special teams to win this game. If Matt Ryan can learn from the mistakes he made in the first meeting between these two teams, not only will he catapult himself to the top of the NFL draft board, but he’ll lead the Eagles to the ACC crown. I’ll take the team with the better quarterback.
