Time: Main Card: 4:00 P.M. PST.
Location: Apex, Enterprise Nevada
Free UFC Vegas 46 Pick: Calvin Kattar +195 vs Giga Chikadze -250 (Bet Now!)
In an absolute banger of a fight, Calvin Kattar(5th) finally steps back in the Octagon after getting dismantled by Holloway last year. Unfortunately for Kattar, Giga(8th) may be even more lethal then Holloway at this current time.
Why? Chikadze is an absolute terror with his standup, capturing three TKO’s in his last 3 fights at Featherweight. Additionally, knocking out notable Edson Barboza at his own game, in his last victory.
Moreover, Giga is a 3rd degree blackbelt in Goju-ryu Karate, blackbelt in Kyokushin Karate and a former Glory Kickboxer.
MMA Betting Prediction: Chikadze – TKO
Calvin was on a splendid two fight win streak over notable opponents before losing to Max Holloway. However, just prior he was destroyed by Zabit, who carries elite stand up similar to Giga.
All things considered, it appears Calvin is getting thrown to the wolves in this matchup. Reasons being, he’s known for reckless forward pressure and this time out will have a world class kickboxer/karate master standing across from him.
Give us Giga Chikadze by flash knockout in the first round of this bout.
Free UFC Vegas 46 Pick: Jake Collier -130 vs Chase Sherman +100 (Bet Now!)
After the Michel Peirera Lima fight was casted off the card, the big boys we’re called up to put on a show for the co-main event. Although, both fighters are coming off losses, even Sherman off back to back losses.
Unfortunately, Jake Collier’s(NR) unable to string together wins, and alternated wins and losses since his debut in 2014. Moreover, he’s only captured one finish in 8 years in the UFC, while getting knocked out three times in the same time.
Like aforementioned, Chase Sherman’s(NR) lost back to back scraps, but was on a four fight win streak prior all by TKO’s. Sherman is highly dangerous when he’s on, and with both fighter’s backs against the wall, a finish is likely.
MMA Prediction: Sherman – TKO
After further analysis, this is a giant spot for both guys as they’re thrown into the spotlight unexpectedly. While one fighter has a tendency to get knocked out, the other tends to lose decisions.
And for that, we’re siding with the underdog Sherman to TKO his opponent in under three rounds.
Free UFC Vegas 46 Pick: Katlyn Chookagian -180 vs Jennifer Maia +150 (Bet Now!)
We’re lucky to get an exciting rematch from legendary UFC 244 – Masvidal vs. Diaz in 2019, where Katlyn Chookagian(#2) scored an impressive unanimous decision victory over Maia.
However, since then Jennifer Maia(#4) has only lost to champion Flyweight Champion, Valentina Shevchenko and has garnered 2 victories out of the 3 scraps. Moreover, she didn’t fight low tier fighters as she dismantled top contender Joanne Wood and Jessica Eye.
In regards to the betting favorite Chookagian, she’s as well rounded as they come and a very fierce competitor. Additionally, she’s also coming off back to back unanimous decision wins.
Like her opponent, Katlyn’s only lost to champions since their bout in 2019, as her only downfalls came by Shevchenko and Andrade.
MMA Prediction: Chookagian – Decision
Currently, Chookagian is on a terror after losing to two elite fighters in her last 5 fights. Moreover, she recently dispatched Cynthia Calvillo and surprisingly made it look easy.
For Maia, she’s always dangerous with her stand up, and carries lethal Jiu Jitsu as she proved against Wood. However, I believe Katlyn will keep her at range and win with volume over power via unanimous decision.
Free UFC Vegas 46 Pick: Brandon Royval +140 vs Rogerio Bontorin -170 (Bet Now!)
Brandon Royval(#5) comes into this bout in desperation mode, after dropping two fights in a row. Important to note, one loss was to the current Champion, Brandon Moreno.
His opponent, Rogerio Bontorin(#7) is looking to break into the top five on Saturday and effectively send Royval to the bottom of the pack. Although, Royval is extremely dangerous on the ground as his last five wins have all came via submission.
Furthermore, he’s a well rounded kickboxer to boot, with amazing cardio.
Fair to add, Rogerio is very capable black belt in Jiu Jitsu, who’s also dangerous in every aspect of the fight game.
MMA Prediction: Brandon Royval – Submission
That being said, I believe Royval will pressure Bontorin the entire fight, and in return cause him exhaustion. Once Royval smells blood, he’s like a shark in the water with opponents necks and once it happens, Rogerio is going to sleep.
