Event: UFC Fight Night 215: Lewis vs. Spivak
Date: November 19th, 2022
Time: Main Card: 4:00 P.M. EST.
Location: UFC APEX, Las Vegas.
Free UFC Fight Night 215 Pick: Derrick Lewis +150 vs Sergey Spivak -188 (Bet Now!)
In our main event of the evening, the greatest knockout artist in UFC history is once again on the fence, with many doubting his abilities. While it’s true that Lewis struggles against grapplers like Spivak, Sergey enjoys striking, and Derrick’s overcome wrestlers in the past.
To elaborate, if Spivak stands too long with Lewis, it could be a short night, while Lewis could also knock him out while going for the takedown (Curtis Blaydes KO).
With all that being said, Sergey has more tools and more ways to win this fight. Moreover, he’s currently 5-1 in his last 6 fights, with his sole loss coming via TKO by Tom Aspinall.
Important to note, Spivak begun his UFC career on a 1-2 run, and has been untrustworthy when rocked early.
MMA Prediction: Lewis
In any heavyweight matchup, any fighter has a punchers chance, and Derrick Lewis possesses much more than that. Spivak should try to fight this matchup on the ground, but could get caught sleeping on the feet, or slept on the takedown.
All things considered, give us the underdog KO artist to rebound off his losing streak, in a huge way on Saturday night.
Free UFC Fight Night 215 Pick: Kennedy Nzechukwu -175 vs Ion Cutelaba +145 (Bet Now!)
As far as the co-main event is concerned, “The Hulk” takes on Kennedy Nzechukwu in what is considered to be fight of the night prior to the card. Cutelaba always brings his heart, and soul into every fight, and press conferences of course.
Unfortunately, “The Hulk” is currently on a two-fight losing streak, after dropping fights to Ryan Spann, and Johnny Walker in his last fight.
On the flip, his opponent Nzechukwu just broke his two-fight losing streak, by knocking out Karl Roberson is his last bout. Although Nzechukwu could be on a two-fight winning streak if it wasn’t for getting deducted a point and losing a split decision two fights ago.
MMA Prediction: Cutelaba
In what I consider a complete toss up of a fight, we’re going to side with the fighter with more to lose and the underdog, Ion “The Hulk” Cutelaba.
Free UFC Fight Night 215 Pick: Jack Della Maddalena -550 vs Danny Roberts +400 (Bet Now!)
Contender series alum, Jack Della Maddalena, looks to continue the hype train over experienced Danny Roberts this Saturday night. With that being said, Roberts is no joke, as he’s earned multiple knockouts and a submission in the UFC.
Even though Danny lost his last fight, people forget about the experience and special style he possesses.
As far as the Austrailian, Maddalena is concerned, he hasn’t lost since his first two fights of his career. Since then, he’s racked up 10 knockouts, one submission, and just one decision win.
I think it’s fair to say, the hype is real with this guy, but to be such a big favorite over a UFC veteran may be a mistake by the books.
MMA Prediction: Roberts
MMA may be the only sport where these types of underdogs cash tickets, on some-what of a consistent basis. Even though Jack should win this bout, we’re taking the massive underdog to win by split decision.
