Event: UFC on ESPN 6: Boston
Date: October 18th 2019
Time: 9 PM ET
Location: TD Garden
Broadcast: ESPN2, ESPN +
Main Card (9 p.m. ET / 6 a.m. PT on Pay-Per-View)
Dominick Reyes (-150) vs. Chris Weidman (+135)
The main event features Dominick Reyes and Chris Weidman going at it and this should be a really good fight between two guys trying to put on a show.
Reyes comes into this game with a perfect record and has won his first five fights in the UFC. Weidman has moved up to light heavyweight which should help him because he doesn’t have to do as big of a weight cut.
I am a bit nervous about how Weidman will look at a new weight class but he thinks he can get a title shot with a win and he is going to be fired up.
Weidman is one of the best wrestlers in the UFC and I think he can use that to his advantage. Weidman will get this fight to the mat, and he going to finish this one.
MMA Betting Pick: Chris Weidman
Yair Rodriguez (-115) vs. Jeremy Stephens (-105)
These two were the headlines in the fight in UFC earlier but 15 seconds into the fight, Rodriguez pocked Stephens and the fight had to be called.
[dfads params=’groups=65194&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Stephens wants to stand in the middle and throw haymakers, while Rodriguez loves to throw haymakers but does a good job of staying away from the knockout punch.
I think Rodriguez will do a good job of going in and out with this fight and avoid that big knockout. This one is going to be the fight of the night that could go either way, but I lean Rodriguez to get the job done.
MMA Betting Pick: Rodriguez
Greg Hardy (-330) vs. Ben Sosoli (+270)
After being disqualifed in his first fight in the UFC because of an illegal knee he has done a really good job of bouncing back.
Hardy has a questionable past that forced him out of the NFL but it seems the UFC is ready to make them their next star.
In this fight he is facing Sosoli who can throw bombs, but this still feels like a fight that Hardy should have no issue with.
At some point The UFC needs to give someone to test Hardy, but that isn’t the case with this one. Hardy should have no issue in this one.
MMA Betting Pick: Hardy
