Ready for UFC Apex picks and betting odds & predictions? This UFC card will take place on a Saturday, June 20th with a heavyweight headliner between Curtis Blaydes and Alexander Volkov. The lateral movement in the heavyweight division seems to be stiff and somewhat dry, but Blaydes and Volkov bring a fresh light to the division being only 29 and 31 years old, respectively.

This card has much tighter lines than we have seen in the past few weeks, which means harder bets for us degenerates. Hard does not mean impossible, however.
I went 8-4 at UFC 250 and 8-2 last weekend. I may or may not be the hottest MMA capper alive.

Main Event: Curtis Blaydes vs. Alexander Volkov
Free UFC Apex Picks – Curtis Blaydes, one of the only signs of fresh life for the heavyweights, will make his first walk to the octagon since dismantling JDS back in January. He revived his career in the best way after losing to Francis Ngannou in late 2018. Winner of all three of his bouts since with two coming by stoppage, Blaydes looks to continue that streak as he inches closer to a title.
Volkov has only lost once since 2016 and it came in the finals seconds of a UFC 229 bout against Derrick Lewis. Besides that hiccup, he has been perfect. His most recent win came against Greg Hardy in November of last year.
As for the fight, Blaydes is being heavily backed by the public, which is obvious by the inflated line. He is the superior wrestler and wins his fights large in part to his ground and pound. Volkov owns the height advantage by several inches and is one of the hardest men to takedown in the heavyweight division.
There is no reason this line should be as jacked as it is. Quite frankly, if you were to tell me you liked Volkov’s ML due to sheer value, I would not have a backing to disagree. I still do like Blaydes to win, but a sprinkle on Volkov, maybe a Volkov KO, may not be the worst idea.

Shane Burgos vs. Josh Emmett
Free UFC Apex Picks – This is one of those fights that I go to bed at night and wishing I did not have to cap it. Shane Burgos and Josh Emmett are both rising stars in the 145 pound division. Burgos enjoyed two wins last year, one against UFC veteran Cub Swanson.
Emmett used 2019 as his coming out party, winning both of his fights by vicious knockout.
As for the fight, it is nearly impossible to predict. Emmett has the power to knockout anyone in the 145 pound division, but his length puts him at a severe disadvantage, especially against Shane Burgos, one of the tallest rostered featherweights. Neither guy wrestles much at all, so expect this fight to stay standing. Even at his range deficit, giving Emmett 15 minutes to finish the fight with little to no ground work is appealing for the slight underdog. But, Burgos uses his range so effectively.
I am going to give a prop bet that I enjoy, but WILL NOT be betting. I advise everyone to stay away from this fight. This will not go against my record, win or lose.
MMA Betting Prediction: Josh Emmett by KO/TKO +225
Raquel Pennington vs. Marion Reneau
Both losers in their last bout, Pennington will look to avoid losing two in a row and Reneau will look to notch her first win since February of 2018.

Belal Muhammad vs. Lyman Good
Free UFC Apex Picks – Any Lyman Good fight tends to be fun. His takedown defense has improved massively and Muhammad will look to shoot early and often.
Muhammad has been the more prolific fighter since entering the UFC, but I like Good’s stand-up better and a 75% takedown defense rate.
