Peru pulled off one of the most controversial upsets as they knocked off Brazil and took Group B.
They now get the surprising Group A 2nd place finisher in Colombia, who was a giant favorite to win the group, but failed.

Peru was picked by just about everybody to be eliminated heading into the final day of group play.
Huge underdogs against Brazil, Peru held firm for 75 minutes, but know a break through was still necessary. Raul Ruidiaz then found a cross in the box and hit it into the back of the net to send everybody into a frenzy.
However, Brazil protested that Ruidiaz used his hand, which sparked the refs to a discussion.
Still, after clearly Ruidiaz used his hand to hit the ball in, the refs awarded the goal and Peru was on their way to winning the group.
They’ll have to pull off another upset of a top team here, as this Peru team sits 48th in the world.
This team doesn’t have any overwhelming strikers or potential game changers like Colombia.
However, they do have a solid back line and typically will keep everyone behind the ball in hopes of getting a counter attack to strike.
Colombia
Colombia has to be scratching their heads a bit too as to why they are playing in this spot.
After dominating the hosts 2-0 in the group opener, Colombia needed just a draw or win against Costa Rica to secure the top spot.
After resting some of their key players, they were shocked by the Costa Ricans as they fell 3-2 in their final game and lost on goal differential to the USA.
At the time, it was devastating. However, things couldn’t have worked out any better for the Colombians. They’ll get a much weaker team on this side of the bracket and avoid Brazil.
James Rodriguez, Juan Cuadrado, and Edwin Cardona all came off the bench against Costa Rica, but will certainly be reinserted into the starting lineup here.
Colombia has a clear advantage here and will likely dominate the possession. Breaking down that back line and even wearing them down will be the key here.
