Montreal is still looking for that elusive first victory of the season. All three of their points have come from draws including at Chicago last weekend.
Though the results are not super encouraging the Impact have played all but one of their games on the road this season. This is yet another road tilt but they might be catching the Galaxy at the right moment.
Ignacio Piatti and Laurent Ciman might be enough to help them get the win, if they are healthy enough to contribute this week. When they have played the Galaxy in the past they have generally done so pretty evenly.
Los Angeles Galaxy
The Galaxy did not look good the last time we saw them losing 4-2 to the Vancouver Whitecaps. They are returning home looking for just their second win of the season.
The Galaxy got key players back into the lineup last week but the results weren’t there. This week they are hoping for a lot more from the likes of Giovani dos Santos, Gyasi Zardes and Ashley Cole. Zardes could certainly be in the starting lineup this week.
Romain Alessandrini scored two goals last time out against Vancouver. The Frenchman is their Designated Player and might finally be adjusting to life on this side of the pond.
It has been a bad start for L.A. but they can take some measure of solace in the fact that the last time they lost three of their first four, in 2012, they would up winning the MLS Cup.
