It’s a battle of two solid teams at the top of the Premiership this Saturday, as Chelsea head to Leicester for a big time matchup in the early game. This one promises to be a great game with the youth of Chelsea testing themselves against the more experienced Leicester side.
Chelsea
Chelsea is not playing it’s best football at the moment, as they have only registered one win against Hull City in the FA cup in their last three games. The match before that was a 2-2 draw at home against Arsenal where they were the better team, but really should not have allowed Arsenal to equalize late given that Arsenal were on 10 men.

Chelsea get a real tough test against a defensive unit in Leicester who will prove tough to break down for these young attackers from Chelsea led by the veteran Willian. We cannot read too much into that last game, as Frank Lampard changed things up a bit in that FA Cup match, and Chelsea should go back to all their starters here in this critical matchup.
Leicester
Leicester City have also not been on top of their game as of late, but that was expected given they were wildly overachieving based on their squad. They have a great squad, but they really have been riding high this season, and it looks like they are coming back down to earth a bit. Their last two games were in the FA Cup and the League Cup, both competitions I am not sure Leicester were all that interested in, as league position is paramount to this club’s goals.
Leicester did a demolition job on West Ham 3 games back by a score of 4-1, so they may have gotten their form back, but this has been a decent sized break in terms of the Premiership, and no one knows if that momentum will carry over at all into this match.
James Madison is the key guy for Leicester here and the midfield, and I do expect him to have plenty of success here against a decent defensive midfield in Chelsea, look out for him to make the difference in this match come Saturday.

Well it looks like the bookmakers got this one just about spot on in terms of the sides, as this is about as close a matchup as you are going to find in the Premier League. On a neutral field Chelsea are definitely a bit better, but Leicester are deserved favorites on home soil.
The bet for me here looks to be the under at +110 which seems like value, as Leicester are not an incredible offensive team, and I believe Chelsea will have a tough task ahead of them trying to break down this stout Leicester defense.
