Lille
It looks like Lille were a one hit wonder as they find themselves struggling off of that incredible second place finish last year. They find themselves in 10th place and unable to really find consistency and that might be down to the fact that they are not used to juggling two major competitions at once as they do not have the deepest roster.
Another reason for their struggles, and most likely reason, is the sale of Nicolas Pepe who was awesome for this team last year, but he was sold to Arsenal in the EPL for close to 100 million euros. Lille have virtually no chance of advancing in this group, but this Lille team will try and put on a show for the home fans who likely won’t be seeing Champions League football again for many years.

Ajax head coach Ten Hag is very intelligent and he will realize they need to score goals in this one to get the victory as locking things down and hoping to steal a game 1-0 won’t work here given their current predicament with defensive suspensions. I expect him to put together a very offensive oriented game plan for this one and it should work given the excellent offensive pieces they possess.
On the flip side Lille do not have much to lose and I can see them really pushing the pace here against Ajax in an attempt make the home fans happy and derail Ajax’s chances at the final 16.
