The Ducks advances on Wednesday, winning 2-1 against the Edmonton Oilers in game 7.
They will now need a quick turnaround after the big win, and refocusing to start the West Finals against Nashville.
Nashville Predators
The Preds have been rolling all playoffs, making short work of the favored Blackhawks in round 1, and then rolling through the Blues in 6 games.
Nashville certainly hit their hot streak at the right time of year, solidifying the last wildcard spot late in the year and rolling through the first two rounds of playoffs.

It’s a series full of Ryans, with Johansen and Ellis both sitting atop the Predators point sheet with 9 apiece. The #1 center, Ryan Johansen, will be a focal point of the checking line for Anaheim, led by Ryan Kesler.
As mentioned, Ryan Ellis has been excellent with 4 goals and 9 points thus far. The Predators blueline group will need to keep the top line of Anaheim at bay, as they’ve been rolling of late.
Look for Roman Josi and PK Subban to play a big role in special teams in the series.
Pekka Rinne has a .951 SV% and a 1.37 GAA in the 2017 playoffs thus far. He’s playing some of the best hockey of his solid career, but will face another tough test vs Anaheim and top-5 scorer, Ryan Getzlaf.
Anaheim Ducks
As mentioned, the Ducks will have to quickly regroup and come down from the high of winning the Edmonton series to start back at square 1 in this series.
The Predators will be a fierce opponent, as they’ve only lost two games through two series, each by one goal.
The Anaheim “Ryans” will need to out duel those of Nashville, as Kesler will be relied upon to shut down Johansen, and Getzlaf will need to lead the Ducks’ scoring pace once again.
The blueline for Anaheim will need to limit the one-off 7-goal games, considering the Predators have allowed much fewer goals against than Edmonton did.

John Gibson will need to be on top of his game, as he’s looked great at times but also have very off-nights in the process. Gibson has a 2.80 GAA and a .908 SV% in 11 games thus far this Stanley Cup playoffs.

Free Nashville Predators vs. Anaheim Ducks Game 1 NHL Playoff Prediction:
The Ducks have been strong on home ice, but will be playing against a much more rested Nashville team. The high from the Oilers series victory probably hasn’t fully passed yet, and I think Nashville’s preparation time has been critical for a strong start.
4* Free NHL Betting Pick: Nashville -105
I like the Preds to take the early series lead.
