After having the 12-game winning streak broken, the Wild will look to get right back to their winning ways against the San Jose Sharks.
The Sharks finished 2016 with a loss and opened 2017 with a loss, so San Jose will hope to get over those defeats and beat a fantastic Minnesota squad.

The Wild have been getting offensive consistency from a multitiude of players. Charlie Coyle continues to play his heart out, posting 12 goals and 18 assists on the year, including one goal and six assists in his last five games.
Eric Staal has played very well, too. With 11 goals and 19 assists on the year, he’s been a great leader for this Wild offense.

While the offense has been great, it’s the defense and goaltending that really stand out. Starting netminder Devan Dubnyk is 19-7-3 with a 1.75 GAA on the season.
He’s been a major reason why the Wild rank 2nd in the NHL in goals against (76).
To beat a solid Sharks team with one of the best two-way defenseman in the game, the Wild will need their defense to be on point and Dubnyk will have to continue his impressive goaltending.
San Jose Sharks
While Minnesota ranks 2nd in goals against, San Jose is just behind them in 3rd. The Sharks have allowed just 82 goals on the season and it’s been a major reason why they have won a lot of games.
Brent Burns continues to be a superstar for the Sharks and is possibly the best two-way defenseman in the NHL right now. He has two goals and three assists in his last five games, and leads the team in points (35) and goals (15).
The top line of Joe Pavelski, Joe Thornton, and Patrick Marleau has combined for 75 points on the year, including 24 goals.
All three guys in this top line are in their 30s and continue to play great hockey despite the age.
While the Sharks don’t have a particularly potent offense, the defense helps out a lot and wins games for San Jose. This will surely be a defensive battle against the Wild and the goals will be few and far between.

To win, San Jose will need to find a way to put the puck past Devan Dubnyk and hold off the Wild’s top line.
