The Browns had a commanding win on the road against the Dallas Cowboys 49-38 last week. Cleveland will now travel back home to host the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon. Indianapolis is coming off a 19-11 win against the Bears after shutting them down defensively the entire day. Both teams come into this matchup with 3-1 and second place in their respective divisions.
Indianapolis Colts
The Colts were able to contain opposing QB Nick Foles all day long in the win over the Bears. The defense has allowed less than 12 points for the third game in a row since suffering a brutal loss to Jacksonville in their 2020 debut.
Philip Rivers didn’t have himself a great game, but it was enough to get the job done against the Bears. Rivers completed just 16 of 29 passes for 190 yards and one touchdown. Phil has now completed 88 of 121 passes for 984 yards to go with four touchdowns and three interceptions after the game against Chicago.
Luckily for Indianapolis in the wake of losing Marlon Mack they may have found their running back of the future with Jonathan Taylor. Taylor has started three games now for the Colts since Mack went down with a torn ACL in Week 1. He has amassed 340 yards from scrimmage and is tied for the team lead in touchdowns in four games.

Defensively, the Colts are led by all-pro linebacker Darius Leonard who leads the team in tackles with 27 so far on the season. Indianapolis already has 8 takeaways on the defensive side of the ball this season and that’s an average of two per game thus far.
Cleveland Browns
Cleveland flexed their muscles in the win over Dallas last Sunday as they ran up the score on the Cowboys to kill their chance of a comeback with less than two minutes to go. The Browns have a new edge to them since getting blown out against the Ravens and are tied with Baltimore for second place in the AFC North.
Odell Beckham Jr. had a vintage performance against the Cowboys secondary finding the endzone three times.
Baker Mayfield also played well in the game against Dallas and threw for two touchdowns in the win. Mayfield has completed 72 of 115 passes for 729 yards to go along with seven touchdowns and two interceptions this season. He has really turned it around since the ugly performance against the Ravens.
Some bad news for Cleveland fans as they found out they will be without star running back Nick Chubb for some weeks as he suffered a knee injury in the game on Sunday. Thankfully for them, they probably have the best back up running back in the league with Kareem Hunt. Hunt is only 65 yards behind Chubb for the team lead but does have half the TD’s with two.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Browns +1.5
I think the Browns pull this one out at home. There is no reason Indianapolis should be a road favorite against a team with the same record as them. This game has trap game written all over and with Cleveland’s newfound swagger I don’t think betting against them would be wise. Even though the Colts have the better defense in this game I think the Cleveland offense will outplay them with Kevin Stefanski calling the plays now. Odell Beckham Jr. had his best game in a Browns uniform last week and he will try to follow it up here against a tough Colts secondary.
