This years’ Rose Bowl will see the PAC-12 Champions, the Oregon Ducks, take on the Big Ten runner ups, the Wisconsin Badgers.
Both teams had much different ending to their season and will be looking for one final win before the off-season officially begins.

This will be the first meeting between these two teams since 2012.
Wisconsin Badgers
The Badgers had a horrible loss in the Big Ten title game, losing to the Ohio State Buckeyes 34-21. The worst part was they had the Buckeyes on their heels with a 21-7 lead at halftime. After the break, the Badgers did absolutely nothing on offense and their defense obviously was not able to keep Ohio State at bay.
The Badgers offense really does well at running the ball. This is of course because they have Jonathan Taylor in the backfield. he has led the Badgers to having the 15th ranked rushing offense. Taylor has rushed for 1,909 yards and has a total of 26 touchdowns.
Taylor ran for 148 yards against Ohio State with one touchdown, but was effectively shut down in the second half as I mentioned. Their quarterback, Jack Coan, only threw for 232 yards, which did not help their case in terms of playing from behind.

Wisconsin’s defense is among the best in the country, but were once again exposed in the second half against the Buckeyes. On the season, they rank 9th in total yards allowed, 16th in passing yards allowed, 8th in rushing yards allowed and 10th in points allowed.
The main key for the Badgers in the Rose Bowl will be playing a full 60 minute game. That sounds obvious, but it cost them the Big Ten title game. Another factor will be motivation. Yes, this is a prestigious game, but these guys will have that blown lead on their mind and will need to come out focused or they will get smacked in the mouth by the Ducks.
Oregon Ducks
The Ducks probably cost the PAC-12 a spot in the College Football Playoff by beating Utah in the conference title game. They dominated the Utes from start to finish and showed how good they can be. If only Oregon did not blow a big lead to Auburn in the season opener or lose to Arizona State, they could have easily been undefeated. They still will probably have a chip on their shoulder and will want that 12th win.
The offense for this Ducks is overall very balanced. They average 453.3 total yards per game, which ranks 25th in the country. Their quarterback, Justin Herbert has thrown for 3,333 yards this season with 32 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.
Normally the Ducks have a good run game, but against the Utes, they were elite. Herbert barely had to throw because CJ Verdell ran for 203 yards and 3 touchdowns. I look for the Ducks to attack this Badgers team with a balanced attack because they clearly have had a ton of success both passing and running the football.
Now this Oregon defense has been elite for the most part this season. The one worry is, “Can they defend the pass?” They are only ranking 59th in this category and their pass defense played a big part in their two losses this season. As for their run defense, they rank 12th in the country and certainly have the ability to slow down Jonathan Taylor.

Rose Bowl NCAA Football Pick
Oregon is coming off a game where they were nearly a touchdown underdog, yet they won the game by 22 points. Now seeing that they are an underdog again, probably gives them same fiery approach to this game. I actually like the Ducks to win this game because I believe they are the better team.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Oregon Ducks +2.5
The Ducks were the PAC-12 Champions, yet are getting almost a field goal in this game. Thus clearly shown that the PAC-12 is disrespected. I will gladly take the points with Oregon in this game and I look for the Ducks to win the game as well.
