UCLA Bruins
24)UCLA got off to a hot start this season before being upset last weekend by the Fresno State. After falling behind early, the Bruins could not recover, and picked up their first loss of the year, 40-37.
Chip Kelly has leaned on the run game heavily through the first three weeks, but senior quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson is off to another good start. DRT threw for 278 yards and three scores against Bulldogs, bringing his total to 668 passing yards with seven touchdowns to one interception.
Zach Charbonnet and Brittain Brown form a solid duo in the UCLA backfield. Charbonnet leads the team with 242 yards on 23 carries, and a PAC-12 leading six touchdowns. Brown has run for 197 yards on 39 carries and two scores.
Kyle Philips leads the team in receiving after a big game against Fresno State. The junior wideout caught seven passes for 113 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. A&M transfer Kam Brown caught five passes for 111 yards, including a 39-yard touchdown catch last weekend.
UCLA could not contain the Bulldogs’ aerial attack last Saturday. Fresno QB Jake Haener threw for a career-high 455 passing yards and two touchdowns.
Stanford Cardinal
Stanford picked up their second road win of the season when they defeated Vanderbilt in the Battle of the Brains last weekend. Stanford took a two-score lead into halftime, and finished Vandy off for a 41-23 win, covering the 12-point spread.
Tanner McKee had another solid start in Nashville. After leading Stanford to an upset road win over USC, the sophomore quarterback went 19-29 for 218 passing yards and two touchdowns. He also added a rushing touchdown for the second straight game.

Free Week 4 NCAA Football Pick
After beating LSU, it appeared as if it might finally be Chip Kelly’s “year” at UCLA. Last week’s loss doesn’t prevent that, but it did place a blemish on their record and it exploited their defense. Stanford won’t air things out like Fresno State, but history is decisively on their side.
4* Free Week 4 NCAA Betting Pick: Stanford ML (+180)
Stanford’s moneyline will be hard to resist here. As winners of the last five meetings, the Cardinal could make that six in their home opener. They have the defense to contain UCLA’s ground game, and the offense to combat it. This will be a physical, closely contested game, with a late-season feel to it. That’s historically right up Stanford’s alley.
Take a chance on Stanford’s moneyline at home this weekend, and eye the under as it could turn into a slugfest in Palo Alto.
