The UCF Knights are coming into this one with a bit of a lackluster record, at least for them, at 5-3, but they have had a tough schedule and have lost some really tight ones that they easily could have won. They have also continued to have an electric offense in 2020 which has become a staple of this UCF Knights program putting up 40+ points on a consistent basis.
It is hard to put your finger on the USF Bulls, as I do not believe they are as bad as their record suggests, but they can go out there and get crushed by ECU or go out there and lose to a tough Memphis team by a single point. With that said, this USF Bulls team also has a pretty solid offense, so we very well could have a shootout at Raymond James come Friday.
UCF Knights
Despite being out gained by the Cincinnati Bearcats in there last game by well over 100 yards, they still almost manage to beat the up-start Bearcats in what would have been an incredible victory for the program. They did fall to Cincinnati, though, and now need to find a way to stay motivated against a USF Bulls team who is frankly not on their level.
Knights QB Dillon Gabriel played decent against the Bearcats with 243 yards passing and a 3-1 TD to INT ratio. That game helped him surpass the 3000 yard passing mark on the season and he will have every opportunity to put up 400+ yards passing here against a very bad Bulls defense.
USF Bulls
The South Florida Bulls were out classed by Houston in their last game giving up over 500 yards of offense and interestingly enough, exactly 14 points per quarter to the Cougars. They are likely in for more of the same here as UCF also has an electric offense who can hit this Bulls secondary for big play after big play.
QB Jordan McCloud will need to have the game of his life to keep this one even remotely competitive, but that would be tough to see given the overall composition of this USF Bulls team.
