The Central Florida Knights continued their winning ways this past weekend, advancing to 5 – 0 for the second consecutive season. McKenzie Milton, the Hawaiian Knight, carried UCF to a comfortable 48 – 20 win over SMU while adding stats to his Heisman candidacy.
The Memphis Tigers have gotten off to a 4 – 2 start to the season, and has put over 50 points in all four wins. Memphis put up 55 points against UConn last weekend and had 41 in the books before the second half even began.
UCF has now put up 30 or more points in 18 straight games, and, coincidentally, they have a 18-game win streak entering week 7. after a perfect 13 – 0 2017 campaign, UCF is seeking to become the first team to go undefeated in back-to-back seasons since Nebraska in 1994-95.
The Knights faced a tiny scare in the second quarter last weekend against SMU when McKenzie Milton left the game. Luckily, he only missed one series and made it back in time to finish the first half.
Milton didn’t exactly have his best performance on the year in week 6 against SMU. He only ran the ball 4 times for 17 yards and was 18 for 34 passing with 278 yards with 2 TDs and a pick.
We did see one big surprise in the UCF offense last weekend, and it came in the form of Trystan Hill. The massive DE at 6′ 2″ – 315 lbs, got to run in a score from the goal line, giving Head Coach Josh Heupel another weapon to play with.
The Memphis Tigers may not have Riley Ferguson and Anthony Miller to rely on anymore, but that has not slowed down the offense one bit. Memphis QB Brady White was as close to perfect last weekend in the Tigers’ win over UConn. White was 16 for 18 with 239 yards and TD in the win, although the running game sure did its part as well.
Running backs Terrell Henderson and Patrick Taylor Jr. combined for 25 carries, had 335 rushing yards between them and they accounted for 6 TDs in the win over UConn. That will make any quarterback’s life a little easier.
Memphis was so impressive, that they only reached third down 8 times in the game, and they converted five of those opportunities. The Tigers were gaining big yards on first down plays, hence leaving them with short yardage to gain time and again. That was, however, against UConn, who are obviously not playing particularly well this year.
Let’s go back to last year’s AAC Championship Game, shall we? Anyone recall the madness that ensued when these two last got together? It was only 62 – 55 in one of the craziest double-overtime conference title games we have ever seen.

Free Week 7 NCAA Football Pick
Usually when we have a total near 80, the expectations are obvious on what to expect. The line setters know that these two offenses just want to go and go, and no one expects the defenses to show up.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Central Florida is favored by -5 with a 78 on the total. Free ATS or O/U final score pick provided below!
The play to make here is on these two teams to match all the hype we might expect. This game will have more offense than any other game we might see this season. When you think of what it will take to hit a 78 total, you think of scores like 48 – 45 or 44 – 41. That is certainly the expectation we have this weekend for these two high-powered offenses.
