Two Big 12 teams who are fighting for position get set to battle it out as the Texas Tech Red Raiders take on the #15 Oklahoma Sooners.
Texas Tech comes in winners of 2 in a row, but struggled mightily last week with the Kansas Jayhawks.

Oklahoma took a little bit of their Red River Shootout loss to Texas on Kansas State as they literally beat them up from start to finish.
Kick off is set for 3:30 PM on ABC.
Texas Tech
The Red Raiders two losses on the season are nothing to hang their heads about. They saw TCU tip a pass and complete it in the back of the end zone with just seconds to secure a win over Texas Tech. They then followed that up with a tough task at Baylor the following week and that didn’t bode well.
Sophomore Patrick Mahomes ranks third in total offense heading into this one.
[dfads params=’groups=226&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Mahomes averages 407.4 yard per game and ranks 4th in passing with 374.0 yards a game. He brings in a stat of 20 touchdowns to just 6 interceptions on the season.
The Red Raiders offense ranks 3rd in the country in points as they average 49.4 per game. The defense has been the main problem this season as they are allowing 36.9 points against. A majority of those points against came in their two losses against TCU and Baylor.
Texas Tech has also built a bit of running game this season, which strays away from their typical offensive strategy. RB DeAndre Washington has averaged 106.6 yards on the ground per game.
Oklahoma
The Sooners had their worst loss in quite some time as they went into the Red River Shootout as 17 point favorites and ended up losing the game outright by 7. The Sooners offense, who has been so good all year, flopped in the contest and failed to complete the comeback in the 4th quarter as they dug themselves too big of a hole.
QB Baker Mayfield will be playing the most incentive he’s played with ever come Saturday. Mayfield played at Texas Tech and was refused to get his release as he was forced to sit out the 2014 season.
[dfads params=’groups=219&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Mayfield took the matter to court, but it did no good. With that Mayfield should want a bit of revenge on the Red Raiders in this one.
Mayfield has some of the most impressive stats with the Sooners this season. He accounts for 23.0 points, 9th in total offense with 340.2 yards, and averages over touchdowns per game.
Oklahoma is getting the job done this season on both sides of the ball. They’re averaging 40.0 points a game and only conceding 18.8 against.

Free Week 8 NCAA Football Prediction
The Red Raiders offer one of the most prolific offenses in the nation. Patrick Mahomes has the ability to pick apart any secondary, but will be severely tested this Saturday with Oklahoma’s defense.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Oklahoma ATS
Even with this high of a spread, the Sooners should be able to do what they want offensively. While their defense won’t completely shut down the Red Raiders offense, they should be able to slow them down a bit,
