Kenny Dillingham is off to a great start in Tempe, even if they missed an opportunity to get an SEC win last week.
Texas State has its own coach on the rise in GJ Kinne. They have won 8 games in each of the past two seasons and are off to a 2-0 start.
Texas State is offense first, and if Kinne has a great game plan this could be one of the more exciting games of the weekend.

The Sun Belt has seen growth over the last few years, in part because programs like Texas State are no pushovers. They might not have long histories but the coaching is good and they are able to scheme up, especially on offense.
The early surprise of the team has been Lincoln Pare at running back. He was supposed to be a backup, instead he has been dominant. When you can run the ball in a Kinne offense things get really scary for defenses very quickly.

Thus far the Sun Devil defense has been torched through the air. That is concerning against a Kinne attack, especially one that has shown balance early.
They can win shootouts but they shouldn’t have to this week.
Arizona State Sun Devils Stats
Arizona State is 1-1 after a dominant 38-19 win over Northern Arizona, followed by a close 24-20 loss to Mississippi State. The Sun Devils’ offense has been a ground-heavy unit, with a total of 452 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.
This has been a key component of their offense, which averages 29 points and 333 total yards per game.
On the other side of the ball, the defense has allowed an average of 21.5 points per game.
Leading the Sun Devils on offense is quarterback Sam Leavitt, who has thrown for 339 yards and three touchdowns.
