A pair of 2-1 SEC teams ranked in the Top 25 come in off losses and will look to get things back on track Saturday.
#16 Texas A&M struggled from the start as they once again were dominated by Alabama.

#23 Ole Miss went into non conference mode and was upset by a potential cinderella story in undefeated Memphis.
Texas A&M
The Aggies dropped their 1st game of the season and fell back in the standings after their 41-23 home loss to Alabama.
Texas A&M’s defense was a major reason for their dismay on Saturday. They allowed Alabama RB Derrick Henry to rush for 236 yards and a pair of touchdowns as he picked up chunks of yardage on his runs and continued to keep the chains moving.

Offensively, things weren’t much better. QB Kyle Allen finished 20 for 40 with 263 yards and threw for three interceptions. The shocking stat behind his interceptions was that all 3 went back for touchdowns.
Prior to this game, Allen had thrown for 13 touchdowns and just 2 interceptions leading Texas A&M to a 5-0 start.
There could be a bit of a controversy looming though as Allen was benched for a couple possessions in place of Kyler Murray. While Murray didn’t do too much in his possessions, it still opens a bit of a discussion going forward.
Ole Miss
The Rebels took their most devastating hit on Saturday as they dropped one to the Memphis Tigers 37-24. The loss has pretty much put Ole Miss in a spot where they can’t make the BCS Playoff as they now sit with 2 losses.
Ole Miss raced out to a 14 point lead and things looked good for the SEC participant. Then, things went haywire.
Memphis QB Paxton Lynch threw for 384 yards and three touchdowns to lead the comeback charge. For a team that is allowing just 22.1 points per game, the Tigers certainly exposed a few things for the Rebels’ defense.

QB Chad Kelly finished with 372 passing yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Kelly was pressured all afternoon long as the Rebels’ offensive line really struggled with the Tigers’ blitz packages.
The run game failed miserably against Memphis. Ole Miss averaged just 1.7 yards per carry and that caused them to fail in many 3rd down and short situations.
Ole Miss went into Texas A&M last year and knocked them off inside College State 35-20.

Free Week 8 NCAA Football Prediction
Ole Miss’s loss hurt much worse than A&M’s did. Their loss eliminated them from a BCS Playoff spot while A&M can still win out and have an outside chance. The QB situation though, is just too much to deal with. If there is any uncertainty with that heading into Saturday, it will play as a huge disadvantage from the A&M view point.
