TCU heads to Acrisure Bounce House in Orlando for its Big 12 opener against UCF. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM ET on Saturday, September 26, 2026, with FS1 carrying the game.
The Horned Frogs are 2-1 after beating Arkansas State 31-7. TCU opened with a 15-10 loss to North Carolina in Dublin before returning home to hammer Grambling State 63-7.
TCU finally gets a true road game, and the Bounce House rarely specializes in quiet afternoons.
UCF is also 2-1 after rallying past Georgia State 44-30. The Knights opened with a 73-6 demolition of Bethune-Cookman before losing 12-7 in the rain at Pittsburgh.
UCF has won both of its home games, while TCU will be playing on an opponent’s campus for the first time this season.

Knights Stats
UCF has scored 124 points through three games, although 73 came against Bethune-Cookman in the opener. The Knights have been much more productive on the ground than through the air, rushing for 684 yards while throwing for 472.
Duke Watson has become the centerpiece of that ground attack. He has rushed for 297 yards and three touchdowns, including a career-high 177 yards and two scores on only 14 carries against Georgia State.
Keyone Jenkins started in place of the injured Alonza Barnett III against Georgia State. Jenkins threw a 30-yard touchdown to Waden Charles and added two rushing scores as UCF erased a four-point halftime deficit.
The Knights have allowed 48 points through three games. Their defense intercepted Georgia State three times, with two of those takeaways helping UCF seize control during the second half.
UCF’s ability to create extra possessions could be important against a TCU offense that has been rolling since returning from Ireland.
Horned Frogs Stats
TCU has scored 104 points while allowing only 29 through three games. The Horned Frogs have been particularly productive through the air with Jaden Craig throwing for 903 yards and seven touchdowns.
Craig has settled in quickly after transferring from Harvard. He threw for 391 yards and four touchdowns against Grambling State, then followed with 337 yards and three scores against Arkansas State.
Craig has found his rhythm, but Orlando gives him a much different setting for his Big 12 debut.
Jeremy Payne leads the rushing attack with 307 yards. He opened the season with 142 against North Carolina and added 86 yards and a touchdown against Arkansas State.
Ed Small has emerged as Craig’s top target with 330 receiving yards. He posted a career-high 164 yards against Arkansas State as TCU finished with 468 yards of offense.
The defense has been every bit as useful, holding Grambling State and Arkansas State to seven points apiece after allowing only 15 against North Carolina.
Horned Frogs vs. Knights QB Matchup
Keyone Jenkins stepped into UCF’s starting role after Alonza Barnett III suffered a significant hamstring injury at Pittsburgh. The former FIU quarterback made his first UCF start against Georgia State and helped the Knights score 44 points.
Jenkins hasn’t been asked to carry the offense through the air.
His mobility gives UCF another option alongside Watson and the running game, and he scored twice on the ground against Georgia State. The Knights can make life considerably easier for him if that rushing attack travels into conference play.
Jaden Craig has produced much bigger passing numbers for TCU.
The Horned Frogs starter has thrown for 903 yards and seven touchdowns through three games. He has topped 300 yards in consecutive starts and completed 21 of 29 passes for 337 yards against Arkansas State.

Craig has also spread the football around effectively, although Small has become his most dangerous target.
Jenkins brings considerably more starting experience from his time at FIU, but he’s still settling into UCF’s offense after being pushed into the job earlier than expected.
TCU will trust Craig to attack downfield. UCF has more reason to lean on Watson and Jenkins on the ground.
That difference in approach could have a major say in the tempo Saturday afternoon.
