The Stanford Cardinal started the season out on a brutal note, losing back to back games to kick-off the season, but they have shown plenty of resilience winning the last 3 games in a row to now come into this game with a respectable 3-2 record.
UCLA will look to break that Stanford winning streak by picking up the W this Saturday and there is no reason to believe they can’t do just that, as they are 7 point favorites here to get the job done at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena California.
Stanford Cardinal
Stanford’s last game was decent, as they were able to beat a solid Oregon State Beavers team, but they were a bit lucky to get the job done in that one being out-gained and out-played with a Beavers turnover being the key to victory for the Cardinal.
RB Austin Jones has been rolling the last two weeks and I see that continuing again here, as he gets the touches and UCLA can be hit on the ground here in 2020. Senior QB Davis Mills has been reliable for the this team preventing turnovers and keeping the ball safe throwing for over 1000 yards so far and a 4-0 TD to INT ratio and he will need to keep that ”pick-less” streak going if the Cardinal are going to have a chance to pick up a huge W here.
UCLA Bruins
The Bruins had every opportunity to win that game last week against USC gaining nearly 550 total offensive yards in one of their best performances of the season that unfortunately ended in a loss. Sophomore wide-out Greg Dulcich had his breakout game in that contest going for 167 yards and a touchdown and it really would not surprise me if he has another big game here provided this one stays close and UCLA needs to utilize the passing game for all 4 quarters.
