South Florida got off to a bad start to the season losing 3 of their first 4 games, but they are streaking and have won 3 in a row.
They are at 2-1 in AAC play behind Temple, who they still have to face this season. However, they are on the road and a 7-point underdog facing a Navy team that only has 1 loss and is unbeaten at home.
The big match up in this game is Navy and their 5th ranked rushing offense facing South Florida and their 30th ranked run defense.

In their last games Navy got over their only loss of the season to Notre Dame with a 31-14 win over Tulane and South Florida beat SMU 38-14.
USF
[dfads params=’groups=226&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
USF had struggled on offense in losing 3 straight in the beginning of the season, but in their last 3 games they have scored 45, 28, and 38 points respectively.
USF is much like Navy in that they are, pretty much, all about the run. They only rank 109th in the nation in passing offense and 14th in rushing offense.
USF is led by duel threat QB Quinton Flowers, who rushed for 201 yards with 3 TD against SMU and he does have over 1,000 passing yards.
RB Marlon Mack sat out the last game with a hamstring injury, but he should go in this one. He had rushed for over 100 yards in 3 straight games before missing the SMU game.
Navy ranks 46th in the nation defending the run.
Navy
Navy is obviously led by their rushing offense, but they won the game against Tulane with their defense. The Midshipmen only had 133 rushing yards, which was their lowest output since the 2013 season.
Navy is led by QB Keenan Reynolds, who leads the team in rushing and has a few other solid backs in the backfield.
The Midshipmen run the option very well and you can be sure that USF watched a lot of tape to see how Tulane stopped that part of the Navy attack.
One of the main reasons that Navy beat Tulane was their forced 3 straight turnovers so it is key that USF holds onto the rock in this one.

Navy sits at 3-0 in AAC play along with Houston and Memphis and they sill have to face those teams this season.
USF is only 1-2 on the road this season.
