The #6 ranked Penn State Nittany Lions come roaring into East Lansing at 7 – 0 as they take on the 4 – 3 Spartans for a rther large Big Ten battle on Saturday afternoon.
This 3:30 kickoff at Spartan Stadium.
Penn State Nittany Lions
The Lions are only favored by -6.5 points as the line shows on during the week, and I imagine it will hit the TD plateau when I hand out the Lions to kick Sparty’s ass this weekend. Hey, maybe that will move the line the other way because you think you should fade Penn State against that sound Sparty D?

Really? That deserves one big COME ON MAN! Penn State is going to make Brian Lewerke look like a schoolkid who should be playing kickball down the street, and not an NCAA football quarterback in the Big Ten Conference!
I am sorry, and I know people need stats and words and words with more stats but let’s break this down.
Penn State is 7 – 0 and has shown what flaws to their game thus far? Anyone? Leave a comment for me and I will talk to you about some of the Penn State weaknesses as they muddle through a dismal 7 – 0 campaign!! LOL
The schedule? Okay I will give you a little of that argument, because yes, the Lions have not been overly challenged by some daunting slate to begin the 2019 season. I get it, because Idaho and Buffalo are on that list, but so is Iowa and Michigan.
Say what you want about Harbough’s Maze and Blue too, but that was a great game in case you missed that 28 – 21 affair last weekend.
While Sparty is getting recuperated and refreshed from the bye week, they still have to practice for two weeks after getting absolutely manhandled by Ohio State and Wisky while Penn State was cruising to 7 – 0.
I don’t care if Sparty had a month to prepare for this game, because it won’t be anything worth writing home about after Penn State walks in here on Saturday and kicks this teams ass!
Michigan State Spartans
Mark Dantonio held his weekly presser on the Michigan State home page, and he spoke of the rivalry with Penn State among other things. He also mentioned the bye-week benefits and getting healthy for the stretch of the regular season.
What is also nice as coach mentioned is to have this much rest over this time, because two byes in a month as November approaches is certainly beneficial.

At the same token, you should actually watch that video because coach goes on for quite some time about a lot of what’s happening on and off the field for Sparty.
Regardless, the game is big, and we all know why. Home dog getting about a TD in a game with an undefeated team going on the road to keep the mojo going do it for ya?
Big Ten mismatch on paper with Michigan State reeling from a harsh 2-game losing streak to Ohio State and Wisconsin? Yeah, it looks bad right now, and putting a positive spin on what’s to come isn’t easy.
Brian Lewerke has been unable to get this offense moving all too often this season, and we could see it right away from the opening game against Tulsa. Even back then the writing was on the wall, and now that the big boy outfits are coming to call the pencils are all broken on the floor!
This offense has zero chance again this weekend to look like something worth respecting, and I will fade the hell out of Lewerke until he shows me much more than this! Dude put up 53 passing yards against Wisky man, and yeah, it’s Wisconsin but come on!
Going 7 for 16 is simply unacceptable when the season is on the line, because remember this is a 4 – 3 team taking on Penn State and not some top-10 battle happening here.

Free Week 9 NCAA Football Pick
I think I made it clear what to do here, because Penn State will indeed have their way with Sparty to improve to 8 – 0. Bye weeks and blah blah… nope! Not enough for me to think Brian Lewerke can move the ball with a stitch of success.
Penn State is hanging at -6 and that is where the money goes for me! It may slide to 6.5 or 7, so get it on the board when you have the time, because time is money and time could cost you a half-point or even a full point.
