A Pac 12 clash between two middle of the road teams takes place Saturday as the Oregon State Beavers and the Arizona Wildcats get set to do battle.
Arizona looks for a quick turnaround as they’ve dropped 2 straight to UCLA and now Stanford to start their conference slate.
Oregon State comes in off a much needed bye week as their offense continues to struggle mightily.
Kick off is set for 4:00 PM EST.
The Beavers offense is easily the worst right now in the Pac 12. They rank last in pretty much every offensive category and continue to turn the ball over and struggle to move the chains.
Oregon State will likely need a similar performance from Storm Woods as he ran wild against Arizona back in 2012 in this same stadium.
Woods finished with 161 yards and a touchdown in a 38-35 win for the Beavers.
QB Seth Collins comes in off his best performance of his young Freshman career as he finished with 275 yards and a touchdown in the loss to Stanford. The Freshman has struggled throughout his first 4 games of the season as a whole as he continues to work through some growing pains.
Collins continues to develop a solid connection with WR Jordan Villamin. He too had his best game of the season against Stanford as he had 138 receiving yards in the loss.
The Wildcats had high aspirations for this season, but after their 2-0 start, they’ve dropped 2 of 3 and continue to battle through many injuries.
It’s unfortunate too as their injuries are coming from star players. QB Anu Soloman remains questionable with a concussion. Defensively, Scooby Wright, Derrick Turituri, and Haden Gregory continue to battle injuries, leaving the Wildcats’ linebacking core very thin.
Should Soloman not be able to go, Senior Jerrard Randall will get the nod. Randall racked up 245 yards of total offense in his first career start against the Cardinal last Saturday.
RB Nick Wilson will have even more pressure on his shoulders to produce as the offense has to come from somewhere. Wilson leads the PAC 12 in rush yards per game with 123.2.
Defensively, the Wildcats are feeling the injuries. They’ve allowed 111 points over the last 2 weeks.

The Wildcats injuries are a lot to overcome here. They have so many key guys who continue to sit out, it’s just hard to get production on either side of the ball for them.
