We’ll have Big 12 football action this weekend when the Oklahoma State Cowboys make the trip to Austin to line up against the Texas Longhorns. The Cowboys will be looking to stay undefeated on the season but facing their strongest opponent thus far in 2019.
The Texas Longhorns will be looking for a second win in a row after losing at home to LSU. They were able to throw the ball all over the Rice Owls last Saturday and will be looking to do the same against the Cowboys.
Oklahoma State Cowboys
The Oklahoma State Cowboys moved to 3-0 on the season with a 40-21 win at Tulsa last weekend.

The game was close through two quarters and the Cowboys went into the locker room down 20-21 at the half. Their defense shut Tulsa down in the second half though with the Cowboys scoring 20 unanswered points.
Oklahoma State picked up a total of 21 first downs in the contest, converting five of 15 third-down opportunities. They racked up a total of 506 yards on offense against the Golden Hurricane, picking up over seven yards per carry for 337 rushing yards as a squad.
On defense, Oklahoma State gave up 396 total yards. Tulsa was able to complete 19 of 35 passing attempts for 238 passing yards while running the ball for a buck 58.
Quarterback Spencer Sanders connected on 12 of his 22 passing attempts for 169 yards with both a touchdown and interception. The kid also ran the ball for over six yards a carry with 59 yards on nine attempts.
Running back Chuba Hubbard had a monster game, running the ball for 256 yards with three touchdowns. Tylan Wallace was the leading receiver with a score and 118 yards on five receptions.

Safety Malcolm Rodriguez led the Cowboys’ defense with 11 tackles. Kolby Harvell-Peel was right behind him with 10 tackles and a sack. The two safeties will need to be strong against the Longhorns passing attack if Oklahoma State has a chance to pull off the upset on the road.
Texas Longhorns
The Texas Longhorns will be looking to improve to 3-1 following a 48-13 win against the Rice Owls. Texas was up 31-0 at the half and may have let up a little feeling comfortable. Nothing wrong with that at all against a weaker program.
The Longhorns picked up an impressive 28 first downs in the contest, moving the chains on nine of 14 third-down opportunities and converting on a fourth-down. Texas moved the ball for 509 total yards including 338 through the air on 28 of 34 passing attempts.
Quarterback Sam Ehlinger connected on 23 of 27 passes for 279 yards and three scores. He also ran the ball for 27 yards on five carries. Keaontay Ingram ran the ball for 74 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.
Jake Smith was the leading receiver with 75 yards and two scores of his own on six receptions.
On defense, the Longhorns gave up 266 total yards. The Owls were able to complete 12 of 23 passes for 179 yards but were limited to just 87 rushing yards. Juwan Mitchell, Ayodele Adeoye, and Joseph Ossai each had five tackles in the game.
Keep your eye on D’Shawn Jamison during Texas kickoff returns. Dude had a 98-yard return for a touchdown last week against Rice.

Free Week 4 NCAA Football Pick
I like Texas covering this spread at home. Yes, they lost at home against LSU earlier in the year, but let’s be honest. Oklahoma State is much tougher than Rice, but they’re no LSU.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: OVER 74
The Cowboys are putting up good numbers on the ground, 285.3 yards per contest, but they’ve played Oregon State, McNeese, and Tulsa. I look for them to be put in their place a little bit this week. Total goes over 74, though.
