Two teams from the Big 12 will be colliding when the Oklahoma State Cowboys visit the Texas Longhorns. The kickoff is set for noon.
Oklahoma State is coming off of a bye week and Texas is coming off a very tough loss.
When I first checked earlier in the week, I saw the Longhorns were laying 4.5, but that spread has gone up to around 5.5. The total started off at 56 and I now see it at 59.5. People seem to like the over in this game.
Oklahoma State Cowboys
The number 12 team in the nation has sure gotten off to a good start. They have not played anyone great, but they are taking care of teams they should. Texas will certainly be a challenge for them.
The Cowboys had a bye week recently. Their most recent game came on October 2nd where they beat the Baylor Bears 24-14.
In that game 2 weeks ago, quarterback Spencer Sanders was not great. He was 13/23 for 182 yards and 3 interceptions. He will look to be much better against the longhorns.
The defense did a good job against the Bears and frankly, this unit has been good all year. They will face a big challenge when trying to stop that powerful offense of the Longhorns.
Texas Longhorns
Texas has been a strange team in 2021. You do not know what to expect from them. Sure, they have talent, but are they really a true contender? To me, they still have to be more consistent on both sides of the ball.
The Longhorns dropped to Oklahoma 55-48 on Saturday. This was a game they never should have lost. They had a 38-20 lead at the half and they were in control of the game for the majority of the day. The fact of the matter is elite programs do not lose games like that.
Casey Thompson was very good a week ago. He went 20/34 for 388 yards and 5 touchdowns. It was fair to say that the offense was not the main issue in the loss to the Sooners.
Running back Bijan Robinson had a very productive day against Oklahoma. He ran the ball 20 times for 137 yards. Another key contributor to the offense was Xavier Worthy who had 9 catches for 261 yards.
The defense started off pretty good against the Sooners, but they eventually got exposed. Spencer Rattler was not very productive, but when he got replaced by Caleb Williams, the Longhorns had no answer for him. This unit also had no answers for Kennedy Brooks who had 25 carries for 217 yards. It will be interesting to see how they bounce back against the Cowboys.

Free Week 7 NCAA Football Pick
I am going with Texas straight up here.
4* Free Week 7 NCAA Betting Pick: Texas SU
After coming off a terrible loss to the Oklahoma Sooners, I expect Texas to come out firing on Saturday. They know that they have to play an entire game in order to win and I feel they will do that. The Cowboys do have the better record, but I am not sold on them winning this game. I still feel the Longhorns are more talented and they will show that here. Oklahoma State has been good against the spread, but I am not necessarily sold on them covering. At the same time, I do not feel great with the Longhorns covering, either. I will risk a little more and go with Texas straight up. I expect their offense to be explosive. Their defense, I am not so sure about, but if the game gets into a shootout, I like Texas. Give me the Longhorns here.
