In this game the Northwestern Wildcats make the trip to Memorial Stadium to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Last year the Wildcats won 34-31.

After such an impressive season last year, the Northwestern Wildcats come into this game really struggling having lost three of the last four games.

The defense hasn’t been great, but the offense has really struggled and now there are some big question marks at quarterback.

Hunter Johnson was the number one quarterback in the country as a recruit, but he hasn’t played like it and now is questionable in this game.

He is dealing with a knee injury and he is officially questionable for this game. So far this season he has really struggled throwing for only 367 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions.

If he can’t go it will be Junior Aidan Smith who actually led a bit of a comeback in the last game against the Badgers but couldn’t pull it out in the end.

Nebraska Cornhuskers

On the other side of this matchup is the Nebraska Cornhuskers who were hyped up big time heading into the season but it’s clear that Cornhuskers football isn’t back yet.

Earlier in the season, they collapsed against Colorado and that led to a loss. In their last game College GameDay came to town, and there was hope they could compete with the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Instead, it seemed they didn’t even show up and that led to a 48-7 defeat, and now there are even more questions surronding this team.

Coming into the game Adrian Martinez was considered a Heisman candidate, but those hopes are dead. He threw for only 47 yards, zero touchdowns, and three interceptions.

In this game they need Martinez to get back to the good play and light up the scoreboard. If he struggles, they will lose this game.
