In this game it’s an ACC showdown when the North Carolina Tar Heels make the trip to Atlanta to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Last year when these two teams played the Yellow Jackets came out ahead 38-28.

After winning the first two games of the year, the North Carolina Tar Heels have lost three games in a row but they gave the Clemson Tigers everything they could handle in their last game.

The defense was good against Clemson giving up only 21 points and if they could have converted a two-point conversion late, the conversation surronding this team would be a lot different.

The offense has been okay giving up 24.2 points per game, but the biggest issue at times has not been converting at key times.

At quarterback, the Tar Heels are led by Freshman Sam Howell who has thrown for 1,168 yards, 11 touchdowns, and two interceptions.

On the defensive side if they can be strong like they were against the Tigers and can create a few turnovers, they should have no issue in this game.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

On the other side of this matchup is the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets who are having some growing pains switching from an option team, and it really showed in their last game.

They went on the road against the Temple Owls and the only points they got were from a safety. The offense couldn’t get anything going.

Even though they aren’t an option team they have really hard problems moving the ball through the air. Against the Owls James Graham and Tobias Oliver both played and they combined to throw for only 174 points.

They are facing a team that was good on defense in their last game, and they need to find a way to get some offense going, especially early.
