The Cornhuskers terrible season continued last week, as they lost at home to the Minnesota Golden Gophers by a touchdown in a game they were 9.5 point favorites in. They do get one of the easiest games of the year to finish off the season, however, so they should have a decent chance of ending the season with a bang here on Friday.
Rutgers have not been all that great this year, but they do seem to have a knack of getting W’s this year when they are outplayed and last week’s game against Maryland was a perfect example of that, as they were out-gained and outplayed, but they managed to take advantage of costly turnovers by their opponents in order to get the job done.
Nebraska Cornhuskers
This week’s game against Rutgers will present an interesting matchup for the Huskers, as they have had a bit of a problem at QB all season and the Rutgers secondary is the part of this Scarlet Knights defense you really want to be taking advantage of, so it will be interesting to see how effective they can be passing the ball here.
On the other side of things the Cornhuskers have also struggled defending the pass in 2020, as they allowed over 230 passing yards per game and Rutgers does have the ability to take advantage of that.

QB Noah Vedral will need to be the star here, as he gets an A+ matchup here in a game that would really cap off what has been a nice season for Rutgers. If he is to be successful he will need his skill position players like Bo Melton to show up here who he has had a connection with in the past and who has the ability to get open against this soft secondary and who may be in line for a big game here.
