An ACC showdown in Tallahassee, Florida takes place Saturday afternoon when the NC State Wolfpack come into town and face off with the Florida State Seminoles.
The Seminoles are coming off a tough loss in Clemson where they lost 23-13 but played a close game to the number one ranked team in the country.
The Wolfpack just got done from a road trip up to Boston where they beat Boston College 24-8 in a defensive duel.
#19 Florida State
Dalvin Cook and the Seminoles played really well on the road against Clemson last week, and looks to continue the trend at home against the Wolfpack. Cook, the Florida State running back and offensive star, is really the workhorse of the FSU team and the offense as you can imagine goes as he goes.
With 1231 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns on the year Cook is a Heisman candidate for sure. Look for a breakout game from him and the offensive line to bounce back and really gash the NC State defense for big yards.
With the offense really struggling last game against Clemson you were able to see the FSU defense really step up and play like they are capable of playing. Watch for them to stuff the NC State offense in their tracks this Saturday.
North Carolina State
The Wolfpack have a very balances offensive attack and have played really well on defense all year to highlight a 6-3 season that not many expected. With senior QB Jacoby Brissett playing at a high level and making the most of his opportunity this year passing for nearly 2000 yards and adding 14 passing touchdowns.
Brissett will need to play a lot better to beat the Seminoles on the road facing a better defense than he has seen before excluding the Clemson game.
As for the defense for the Pack they are facing a tough task with the Dalvin Cook, but have shown promise over the past couple of game holding opponents to only 81 points in three games and only 22 points in two out of the three games excluding the Clemson game which they were just simply outmatched
