The Wisconsin Badgers welcome in MAC opponent Miami Ohio in their Week 2 home opener inside Camp Randall Stadium.
The Badgers had the unfortunate feat of running into Alabama Week 1 and things didn’t go according to plan as they were ran out of town in the 2nd half.
Miami Ohio took on FCS participant Presbyterian College and did just as expected by grabbing a Week 1 win.
Wisconsin will look to get back on track here as they have the potential to still run the table the rest of the way and make a push at a BCS Bowl. Getting their momentum and swagger back is extremely important here.
Kickoff is set for high noon on Saturday.
The Redhawks come in off a 26-7 win over FCS opponent Presbyterian College. Miami didn’t look bad in the win, but still things get a complete 180 in terms of difficulty as they take on one of the best in the Big 10.
Miami’s struggles on the road have become alarming as they have lost 17 straight games away from Oxford. Bettors should avoid betting the Redhawks straight up, but they are 5-1 ATS in the past 6 road games.
QB Drew Kummer threw for 255 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Week 1 and will look to build off his solid performance. Kummer went 14 for 19 in pass attempts.
As far as the run game is concerned, Freshman RB Alonzo Smith ran for 86 yards and a pair of touchdowns. As a team, the Redhawks rushed for 205 yards.
The Redhawks’ defense will certainly have too improve as they allowed 318 total yards to Presbyterian, but got some key stops to hold the Blue Hose to just 7 points.
The Badgers actually had plenty of chances in their 35-17 loss to the Crimson Tide in Week 1. The game remained competitive for about 3.5 quarters before Alabama eventually pulled away with their potent running game.
Still, the Badgers have a lot to build off of in terms of the passing game.
QB Joel Stave went 26 for 39 with 228 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the victory.
In terms of the running game, Wisconsin showed they missed Melvin Gordon a lot. The Badgers ran for only 40 yards and Corey Clement had only 16 yards on 16 carries.
Clement was being slowed up by a groin injury which leaves him in question of how many touches he’ll get in Week 2.
The Badgers defense was another main reason for their struggles as they allowed 502 runs and was picked apart in the pass game and ran over in the run game.

Free Week 2 NCAA Football Prediction
The Redhawks are terrible on the road, but they do tend to cover. With a big number here and the question of how healthy Clement is, grabbing the points is the best way to go.
