The Miami Hurricanes hit a new low last weekend as they lost in overtime at home against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets despite the Hurricanes being nearly 3 touchdown favorites.
The Pitt Panthers, on the other hand, are a team headed in the other direction as they are riding a 4 game winning streak and are coming off of an impressive 7 point win at Syracuse.

The one thing this Miami Hurricanes team can hold it’s head high about is the performance of their defense which has been solid for the majority of the year. The strength of this defense was shown two games back where they held Virginia to only 9 points and 325 total yards.
If the Hurricanes are going to have a shot at winning this game outright it will most likely come down to the performance of this defense, specifically the front 7 and stopping the run game.
Pitt Panthers
The Pitt Panthers went 10-19 on third down in last week’s victory over Syracuse and played an all around solid game. QB Kenny Pickett was solid in leading the charge through the air as here threw for 232 yards and 2 touchdowns without a pick which was good for a QBR in excess of 80.
Pickett will be called upon early and often in this one as the Pitt Panthers may find it hard to achieve the efficiency they are looking for in the running game against this Hurricanes front 7.
